A user equipment (UE) measure and report cell measurements for neighboring cells to assist the wireless network with handover decisions. In some cases, the UE may be configured to report beam-level measurements for just a subset of neighboring cells instead of each neighboring cell. For example, the UE may measure, or report beam measurements for a subset of the neighboring cells which meet configured criteria or are included in a subset of cells configured by the serving cell. Techniques for configuring and maintaining the subset of cells are described herein. For example, the cells in the subset may be configured by the UE or the serving cell of UE. A cell may also be removed from the subset if the cell does not continue to meet criteria for being included in the subset.

The serving base station may identify, based on the PCI report, whether a radio frequency band of the first SSB is in or off a synchronization raster, and determine whether to instruct the UE to report a global cell identifier (CGI) for the neighbor base station (e.g., CGI for the neighbor cell) based on the identification. The wireless device may identify CGI based system information obtained from the neighbor cell, system information obtained from a master cell associated with the neighbor base station, system information obtained from CGI broadcast from the neighbor cell, or system information requested from the neighbor cell using dedicated resources, based on the instruction.

In one example, a user equipment (UE) may receive an MDT measurement configuration indicating a first RAT type for collecting measurements and a second RAT type for reporting measurements. In this example, the UE may use the measurement configuration to collect MDT measurements for the first RAT type, and the UE may report the MDT measurements to a base station associated with the second RAT. Further techniques for efficiently collecting and reporting MDT measurements in a dual connectivity deployment are also described herein.

摘要： Aspects of the disclosure provide control-plane signaling to support a user equipment (UE)-assisted local caching feature, where information content may be locally cached at or near a base station in a wireless communication network. The control plane signaling may include a system information broadcast (SIB) to advertise availability of the feature; a UE capability message that indicates UE support of the feature; and/or radio resource control (RRC) configuration signaling to configure the UE to utilize the feature. Further aspects describe operation and maintenance (OAM) configuration of a base station to utilize the feature. A base station may additionally check for UE eligibility to utilize the feature, e.g., based on the user's subscription. In further examples, various enhancements to the user-plane signaling to utilize the UE-assisted local caching feature are provided. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
