摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for caching content at a network component and providing the cached content to requesting UEs. An example method generally includes receiving a request for content from a user equipment, inspecting the request for information about the requested content, determining, based on information about the requested content obtained by inspecting the request, if the requested content is on a service list, and providing the requested content from a cache to the UE if it is determined the requested content is on the service list and cached at the base station or retrieving the requested content from a remote source, storing the requested content in the cache, and providing the requested content to the UE if it is determined the requested content is on the service list but not cached at the base station.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently collecting and reporting minimization of drive test (MDT) measurements for one or more radio access technology (RAT) types and/or for multiple base stations in a dual connectivity deployment. In one example, a user equipment (UE) may receive an MDT measurement configuration indicating a first RAT type for collecting measurements and a second RAT type for reporting measurements. In this example, the UE may use the measurement configuration to collect MDT measurements for the first RAT type, and the UE may report the MDT measurements to a base station associated with the second RAT. Further techniques for efficiently collecting and reporting MDT measurements in a dual connectivity deployment are also described herein.

The UE may receive at least one request that the UE report MDT measurements. The UE may perform a first portion of measurements associated with the first base station and perform a second portion of measurements associated with the second base station. The UE may perform the measurements while the UE is operating in the dual-connectivity configuration. The UE may transmit one or more reports including information indicative of the first portion of measurements, information indicative of the second portion of measurements, or both.

摘要: Aspects of the disclosure provide control-plane signaling to support a user equipment (UE)-assisted local caching feature, where information content may be locally cached at or near a base station in a wireless communication network. The control plane signaling may include a system information broadcast (SIB) to advertise availability of the feature; a UE capability message that indicates UE support of the feature; and/or radio resource control (RRC) configuration signaling to configure the UE to utilize the feature. Further aspects describe operation and maintenance (OAM) configuration of a base station to utilize the feature. A base station may additionally check for UE eligibility to utilize the feature, e.g., based on the user's subscription. In further examples, various enhancements to the user-plane signaling to utilize the UE-assisted local caching feature are provided. The method may include receiving from a master cell group of a dual connectivity environment a first message indicating that a secondary cell group of the dual connectivity environment is suspended, maintaining a lower layer configuration for the secondary cell group and modifying a measurement report configuration for the secondary cell group based on the first message and while the secondary cell group is suspended, receiving from the master cell group a second message indicating that the secondary cell group is no longer suspended, and reconnecting to the secondary cell group using the lower layer configuration for the secondary cell group based on the second message.

摘要: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided that improve data packet exchange between a UE in an inactive mode and a network. In certain configurations, the apparatus may receive, from a user equipment (UE) in an active mode, a first packet including a first identifier associated with an anchor base station, a second identifier associated with a UE context, and a payload. The apparatus may identify the anchor base station based at least in part on one or more of the first identifier associated with the anchor base station or the second identifier associated with the UE context. The apparatus may transmit a second packet to the anchor base station. The second packet may include at least a portion of the first packet.
