    摘要: A torque wrench comprises a split casing which can be divided to receive and grip pipes, each casing half comprising jaws which are synchronously movable to center and frictionally engage the pipe joints. The wrench has a split inner annulus which is mounted in and connected to a split intermediate annulus which is rotatably mounted in the split casing. The inner annulus is provided with at least two activable and displaceable clamping jaws in use, temporary and external transfer of a controlled torque is provided to the intermediate annulus. The torque is, in turn, transferred to the inner annulus by the aid of a connection, preferably in the form of pump cylinders, which at the same time activate and provide the displaceable clamping jaws with the necessary power. With a spinning motor, the wrench forms a combined spinning and torque wrench. With a back-up wrench, and mounted on a carriage the wrench assembly forms a complete roughneck.

One or more hoses (3) form a flexible fluid communicating connection between an upper portion of the riser (2) and the floating surface installation (1). The first end portion (211) of at least one fluid conduit (21) is fixed to the riser (2) by an upwardly directed, first pipe muzzle (212) and is provided with a rotatable connecting sleeve (213a, 213b, 213c). Each of one or more flexible hoses (3) is connected to a conduit spool (41) of a connecting assembly (4) provided with a second pipe muzzle (42) that is arranged for releasable mating with the first end portion (211) of the fluid conduit (21). A lifting yoke (43) is connected to the connecting assembly (4) and forms an actuator (431) which is able to effect rotary motion to the connecting sleeve (213a, 213b, 213c) to enable engagement.

    摘要: A fluid pressure driven, high frequency percussion hammer for drilling in hard formations is presented. The hammer piston (20) of the percussion hammer has a relatively large and longitudinally extending bore (41) that provides minimal flow resistance for a drilling fluid flowing through the bore (41) during the return stroke of the hammer piston (20). The bore (41) is closeable in the upstream direction by a valve plug (23) that follows the hammer piston (20) during the stroke. The valve plug (23) is controlled by a relatively long and slender valve stem (49) that is mechanically able to stop the valve plug (23) by approximately 75% of the full stroke length of the hammer piston (20) and separates the plug (23) from a seat ring (40). Thus the bore (41) opens up such that the bore fluid can flow there trough, and the inherent tension spring properties of the valve stem (49) returns the valve plug (23) so rapid that it will be good through flow during return of the hammer piston (20).
