摘要: A system to automatically detect at least one physiological state is disclosed. The system includes a single probe for insertion within a subject that has an analyte sensor array for continuous monitoring of at least glucose and a second analyte. The system further includes an electronics module that includes a power supply, a processor, memory and a bi-directional communications module. When the electronics module is coupled with the analyte sensor array the power supply delivers power to the analyte sensor array and the processor. The processor analyzing glucose and the second analyte data to detect a first physiological state from a plurality of physiological states.

The working electrode further includes a first reactive chemistry that is responsive to a first analyte. Additionally, the working electrode includes a first transport material that enables flux of the first analyte to the first reactive chemistry. Further included with the electrodes is a separation chemistry between the first reactive chemistry and the first transport material, the separation chemistry minimizing mixing of the first reactive chemistry and the first transport material.

摘要: An apparatus for early detection of sepsis in a host is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first sensor to directly measure a glucose level, a second sensor to directly measure a lactate level and a third sensor to directly measure a tissue oxygen level. The first sensor, the second sensor, and the third sensor all being inserted at a single point of entry in a subcutaneous space of the host such that a predetermined correlation between the glucose level, lactate level, and tissue oxygen level signals conditions related to sepsis.

摘要: In one embodiment, an insertion assembly is disclosed that includes an electronics assembly. The electronics assembly includes a base and a housing and the housing has an enclosed portion and a mating portion. The insertion assembly further includes a sensor assembly that is detached from the electronics assembly. The sensor assembly includes a sensor and at least one mating feature. The sensor assembly is detachably coupled to a slider in a first position. The slider is coupled to an energy storage system. When the slider transitions to a second position, the sensor assembly is coupled to the electronics assembly to define an on-body assembly. The transition to the second position loads the energy storage system and upon actuation, the energy storage system is unloaded to transition the slider to the first position and the on-body assembly is positioned to decouple from the slider.
