    摘要: A mechanism for displaying large datasets may download an approximate range of the dataset along with a subset of the dataset to a client. The client may display the subset as well as indicators for the approximate range. When a user moves to a position within the dataset that is not downloaded, the client may send a request for a second subset of the dataset, which may be displayed on the client. The user may interact with the dataset to select different items in the dataset, for example, and those interactions may be collected while the user views different portions of the dataset. The user may process all of the interactions over the entire dataset or a portion of the dataset by committing the changes.

    摘要: The invention provides a method and apparatus for evaluating the product quality and performances of micromirror array devices through measurements of the electromechanical responses of the individual micromirrors to the driving forces of electric fields. The electromechanical responses of the micromirrors according to the present invention are described in terms of the rotational angles associated with the operational states, such as the ON and OFF state angles of the ON and OFF state when the micromirror array device is operated in the binary-state mode, and the response speed (i.e. the time interval required for a micromirror device to transit form one state to another) of the individual micromirrors to the driving fields.

    摘要: An animal product sampling device comprises a well arranged, in use, to collect fluid flowing through a fluid tube connected to the well, a drain, one end of which is connected to the well, which is arranged such that, in use, fluid from the well may pass to the fluid tube connected to the well, and a sample tube arranged, in use, to draw fluid from a zone of fluid of minimal turbulence within the well. The device is arranged such that, in use, the zone of fluid of minimal turbulence, from which a sample of fluid can be drawn through the sample tube, is created in the device due to the dimensions of the well and the drain. There is further provided an animal product sample transportation device and an animal product sample collecting device.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a synchronization method that synchronized the operations of the functional modules with the source signal to be processed. The synchronization is achieved through an intermediate reference signal generated form a master synchronization module. The intermediate reference signal is synchronized to the source signal, while the operations of the functional modules are synchronized with the intermediate reference signal. In this way, the operations of the functional modules can be successfully isolated from the source signal to be processed. In an embodiment of the invention, the synchronization uses interrupt signals.

    摘要: The present invention provides a microstructure device comprising multiple substrates with the components of the device formed on the substrates. In order to maintain uniformity of the gap between the substrates, a plurality of pillars is provided and distributed in the gap so as to prevent decrease of the gap size. The increase of the gap size can be prevented by bonding the pillars to the components of the microstructure. Alternatively, the increase of the gap size can be prevented by maintaining the pressure inside the gap below the pressure under which the microstructure will be in operation. Electrical contact of the substrates on which the micromirrors and electrodes are formed can be made through many ways, such as electrical contact areas, electrical contact pads and electrical contact springs.
