摘要: A method, apparatus and system for reconfiguring communications call paths enables more efficient use of communications network resources and enhanced service offerings. A plurality of feature control points (FCPs) located in a plurality of different types of communications carrier networks are controlled by a single call service node (CSN). The CSN receives a report from a FCP each time the FCP receives a call control signaling message. The CSN uses the reports to map the call path, so that when a connection change request is received, the CSN can select which of the FCPs to use to effect the requested change based on predetermined criteria.

摘要: A closed loop feedback method that continuously adjusts the lateral and skew position of a sheet includes a first sensor that is used to measure lateral sheet edge position. A second sensor measures the lateral sheet edge position at a certain distance from the first sensor. Sheet skew values can thus be calculated. Lateral and skew controllers provide outputs to lateral and skew actuators, respectively, to adjust the sheet position. A different method of registering sheets laterally and in skew enables active sheet deskew without translating the sheet in the cross-process direction. A sensor carriage position is controlled to find the sheet edge after which deskew control can start. The average value of the carriage position can then be fed in a feedforward manner to move the image location to match the average paper position. This achieves good average lateral registration and active skew control at a reduced cost.

摘要: An imaging device for producing multicolor images from image data containing data representing an image of a first color and an image of a second color to be registered relative to the image of the first color onto a substrate by transferring toner of the first and second colors to the substrate is provided. The imaging device comprises a first imager, a second imager, a photoreceptor belt, a plurality of rollers mounted to a frame of the imaging device, an angular position sensor, an image data source and a controller. The plurality of rollers define a process path along which the photoreceptor belt is driven past the first and second imagers in a process direction. The plurality of rollers comprises a drive roller that exhibits an eccentricity for which a formula relating angular position as a function of the phase angle of the drive roller to eccentricity is known. The angular position sensor detects the phase angle of the drive roller. The image data source generates image data that includes a line to be printed in the first color and in the second color. The controller is coupled to receive signals from the angular position sensor, ROS imager and image data source and is configured to drive the second imager to generate an optical output. The controller includes memory and a processor. The memory stores the formula relating angular position as a function of the phase angle of the drive roller to eccentricity. The processor calculates an appropriate time delay for starting the generation of the optical output of the second imager for printing the line to be printed in the first color and in the second color based on the time of the starting of the optical output by the ROS imager to print to print that line, the signal received from the angular position sensor, and the formula relating angular position as a function of the phase angle of the drive roller to eccentricity.

摘要: A display frame, which carries a sheet of mylar metalized to provide a mirror and an advertising display placard, is provided with a number of straps disposed for coaction with a turnbuckle type mounting device to securely position the display upon pillars of I-beam configuration such as those found in subway and train stations. The turnbuckle assembly of the mounting device is such as to exert compressive forces against opposed inner faces of the I-beam flanges and, in one embodiment, coacts with straps secured to the rear wall of the display to mount the display across the edges of said I-beam flanges so as to hide the mounting means in the space behind the display and between the flanges and web of the I-beam pillar. The display frame is formed with one or more advertising placard mounting sections formed with grooves to facilitate positioning and easy removal of the placards which carry an advertising message. Such display sections in some embodiments are at an angle with respect to the mirror. A fluorescent lighting fixture, carried by some embodiments of display frames, is disposed behind the placard display section and for translucent placards to provide a back-light for the message.
