A connection arrangement for electrically interconnecting the shields of so-called “cold-dielectric” superconductor cables in the context of a muiltiphase superconductive electrical link, each superconductor cable comprising a central superconductor presenting superconductivity at cryogenic temperature, electrical insulation surrounding the central conductor, a shield surrounding the electrical insulation, and a cryostat surrounding said shield. According to the invention, the arrangement comprises a superconductive link between said shields, said superconductive link comprising a link superconductor and a cryogenic sheath surrounding said link superconductor, each of the two ends of said link superconductor being connected to a respective one of said shields by connection means that are both electrically and thermally conductive. The invention is particularly applicable to high voltage electricity.

In order to protect against abrasion of metallic parts, the surface of the screen (S) of the cable (KA), which is enclosed by the cryostat (KR), and/or of the cryostat (KR) is provided all around on its inner surface with a liner layer (10) made of an abrasion-resistant material with a lower friction coefficient compared with steel, which, when it encloses the screen (S) of the cable (KA), is permeable for the refrigerant.

A process is provided for the production of a superconducting cable having a single cable core that contains at least one elongated superconducting element and a flexible tube that which surrounds the cable core. The process includes continuously pulling the single cable core from a supply unit, continuously pulling a metal strip from a strip supply unit and continuously forming a slotted tube around the cable care with the metal strip to form a slotted tube. The longitudinal slot of the slotted tube is welded shut corrugating the welded tube with the cable core inside the tube. The then semi-finished superconducting cable is wound in at least one turn on a cable drum, and the ends of the cable core are mechanically joined to the ends of the corrugated tube while the cable is on the cable drum.
