The apparatuses including processing circuitry configured to: associate with a master station, decode a frame, where the frame comprises a first duration and a transmitter address and determine that the frame is an intra basic service set (Intra-BSS), an inter (Inter-BSS), or an unclassified frame, where the unclassified frame is the Intra-BSS frame or the Inter-BSS frame. The processing circuitry may be further configured to set an Intra-BSS network allocation vector (NAV) to the first duration if the first duration is longer than a current duration of the Intra-BSS NAV and the frame is determined to be the intra-BSS frame and set the second NAV to the first duration if the first duration is longer than a current duration of the second NAV and the frame is determined to be the inter-BSS frame or the unclassified frame.

    摘要: An apparatus of a first high-efficiency (HE) access point (AP) or station for spatial reuse is the disclosed. The apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to: decode a first portion of a first packet; and if the first portion indicates the first packet was transmitted by a second HE AP or station and that the first packet is an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) packet, then if a preamble detect energy is below a threshold, cause to be transmitted a second packet simultaneously with a portion of the first packet after the first portion. The processing circuitry may be configured to determine the first portion was transmitted by the second HE AP or station if a field in a physical (PRY) header or a second field in a media access control (MAC) header indicate the first packet was transmitted by the second HE AP or station.

    摘要: Methods and devices are described for providing wireless stations (STAs) with two sets of enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameters. Legacy EDCA parameters that are for single user (SU) operations and may be used by both high-efficiency (HE) STAs and legacy STAs without multi-user (MU) capability. MU EDCA parameters are defined to be more restrictive than legacy EDCA parameters in favoring MU operations. Embodiments are described that define sets of rules for regulating how STAs capable of both SU and MU uplink operations can use the different sets of EDCA parameters.

    摘要: Apparatuses, methods and computer readable media for multi-user request-to-send and clear-to-send are disclosed. An apparatus of a high-efficiency wireless local area network (HEW) master station comprising circuitry is disclosed. The circuitry may be configured to: select a first group of stations to transmit a multi-user request-to-send (MU-RTS) transmission to and generate a MU-RTS packet for the first group of stations. The circuitry may be configured to transmit the MU-RTS packet to the first group of stations. The MU-RTS may include a resource map that indicates a subchannel for each of the first group of stations to receive data on and/or a power control indication for at least one of the stations of the one or more stations. The MU-RTS may indicate that some of the first group of stations should transmit a multi-user clear-to-send (MU-CTS) and others of the first group of stations should not transmit a MU-CTS.
