    摘要: Each blow-off valve includes a valve body with a first movable wall defining a portion of the liquid fluid passage therein and a second movable wall defining a portion of the suction fluid passage therein. An actuator interconnects the movable walls for simultaneously moving the walls and opening the fluid passages in response to the electrical leakage-warning signal. In the species of FIGS. 2 and 3, the movable walls are integrally united with the valve body and include frangible sections that are fractured by an explosive squib to separate the movable walls from the body to simultaneously open the liquid and suction fluid passages. In the species of FIG. 5, the movable walls are separate valve elements disposed in a circular bore that opens the passages to the ambient surroundings. The actuator includes a spring, for biasing each of the valve elements out of its respective bore, and a holding device that weakens in response to the electrical leakage-warning signal.

A main three-way valve is disposed between the compressor and the condenser for directing flow from the compressor to the condenser in the air-conditioning mode and for directing flow from the compressor through a by-pass line to the chiller-condenser in the heat pump mode. A heat pump (HP) expansion device shown as an orifice tube expands the refrigerant in the heat pump mode and an by-pass valve is disposed between the chiller-condenser and the chiller-evaporator for directing flow from the chiller-condenser through the heat pump expansion device and to the chiller-evaporator in the heat pump mode. An air-conditioning (A/C) expansion device shown as orifice tube is disposed downstream of the condenser and upstream of the by-pass line for expanding the refrigerant in the air-conditioning mode.

    摘要: An expansion device that is able to perform the functions of refrigerant expansion, flow control and shut-off. A cage extends from the ends of a body and supports a screen cover. An orifice tube extends through the body and a conical shaped valve seat forms an outwardly flared inlet to the orifice tube. A plunger defines a conical shaped valve end for engaging and sealing the conical valve seat to prevent refrigerant from entering the orifice tube. A rod extends from the valve end to react with a solenoid coil for moving the valve end into and out of engagement with the valve seat. A spring interacts between the plunger and the solenoid for urging the plunger into the valve seat.

    摘要: A vehicle climate control system having a separate control for first and second separate areas of the vehicle. The climate control system includes a three-fluid heat exchanger having a first path with a first inlet and first outlet, and a second path with a second inlet and second outlet. The first path communicates refrigerant between the first inlet and first outlet and the second path communicates coolant between the second inlet and second outlet without the refrigerant and the coolant being mixed. A primary refrigerant loop is interconnected by a refrigerant line with the refrigerant line being connected to the inlet and outlet of the first path. A secondary loop is connected to the inlet and the outlet of the second path such that the coolant flows through the three-fluid heat exchanger to selectively cool or heat the second area of the vehicle by heat transfer within the three-fluid heat exchanger. A heating loop is selectively connected to the secondary loop, three-fluid heat exchanger and the vehicle engine coolant supply for supplying heat to the first and second areas of the vehicle.
