    Abstract: A disconnection detection method for detecting disconnection of a plurality of strands constituting a conductor of a cable wired in a device that is caused by motion of the device includes a data acquisition step of acquiring motion information data, which is data showing changes over time in information about motion of the device, and resistance value data, which is data of a resistance value of the conductor that changes in time series due to the motion of the device, an analysis step of analyzing the resistance value data based on the motion information data acquired in the data acquisition step and obtaining an index value to detect strand disconnection, and a disconnection detection step of detecting the strand disconnection based on the index value obtained in the analysis step.

    Abstract: A disconnection detection device that detects strand disconnection in a plurality of insulated wires each of which includes a conductor including a plurality of strands is provided with a branch portion including a common conducting path and a plurality of branched conducting paths branching out from an end portion of the common conducting path, each of the branched conducting paths being electrically connected, at an end portion, to one end of the conductor of the corresponding insulated wire, a current ratio detection unit capable of detecting a ratio of currents flowing through the plurality of branched conducting paths, and a disconnection detection processing unit that detects the strand disconnection in the plurality of insulated wires based on a detection result of the current ratio detection unit.

    Abstract: A cable life prediction method, includes: acquiring resistance value data indicating chronological change in a resistance value of a cable based on an operation of a managed device and an operating data, by a cable status management device, from a device user-side data management device, thereby, in the cable status management device, estimating wire-break progress in the cable based on at least one of the acquired resistance value data and the acquired operating data; and in the cable status management device, predicting a life of the cable based on a wire-break progress data and the operating data, and storing the predicted life of the cable as cable life prediction data.     Abstract: A leaky cable is provided with a linear insulator and a metal layer formed on an outer peripheral surface of the insulator. A slot for leaking electromagnetic waves is formed through the metal layer between an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface of the metal layer, and the outer peripheral surface of the insulator is formed with unevenness that inhibits misalignment of the slot with respect to the insulator. The method of manufacturing the leaky cable includes forming an insulator composed of thermoplastic resin in a cylindrical shape, roughening an outer peripheral surface of the insulator, forming a metal layer on the outer peripheral surface of the insulator, and forming a slot through the metal layer between an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface of the metal layer. The slot is configured to leak electromagnetic waves to outside of the metal layer.
