Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating UE indication of null tone placement for demodulation are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a UE includes measuring one or more downlink transmissions in one or more frequency subcarriers received from a base station over a time period. The example method also includes transmitting, to the base station, a null tone indication indicating one or more locations for one or more null tones, the one or more locations for the one or more null tones based at least in part on measurements performed on the one or more downlink transmissions received over the time period.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sharing machine learning models and an indication of transmission and reception points (TRPs) for which the machine learning models are applicable between wireless nodes such as user equipments (UEs) and base stations (BSs). For example, a UE receives an indication of one or more machine learning models associated with at least one TRP of one or more TRPs from a BS. The UE then uses the at least one of the one or more machine learning models for applications related to the at least one TRP. The applications may include a channel state information (CSI) compression, a cross frequency channel prediction, and a beam selection.

The method also includes computing gradients in response to receiving the request to initiate gradient computation. The method further includes informing the network device of availability of the gradients. The method still further includes receiving, from the network device, information to enable transfer of the gradients to the network device. The method further includes transferring the gradients to the network device in response to receiving the information to enable transfer.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive, from a base station, a common downlink control information (DCI) message indicating an update to a common beam which applies to a set of UEs, where for each UE of the set of UEs the common beam is shared across a set of channels, a set of reference signals, or both. The UE may receive, via the common DCI message, an indication of the set of UEs associated with the update to the common beam. The UE may then perform at least one beam switching procedure to update the common beam at the UE based on receiving the common DCI message and the UE being included within the set of UEs.

The method also includes transferring the data packet to lower layers of the protocol stack for transmission to a network device across a wireless network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may involve a receiving device selecting a receive beam for receiving a signal from a transmitting device based on a relative direction of the transmit beam used to transmit the signal. A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, an indication of a first angular range. The first angular range may be associated with a set of transmit beams for the second wireless device and correspond to at least two transmit beams of the set of transmit beams. The first wireless device may select a receive beam from a set of receive beams based on the first angular range and receive a reference signal, from the second wireless device, using the selected receive beam. The first device may also transmit channel information, to second wireless device, based on the reference signal.

Abstract: A user equipment may be configured to perform UE indication to temporarily suspend report occasions. In some aspects, the user equipment may receive report configuration information from a base station, the report configuration information identifying a report parameter to provide in a channel state information (CSI) report, and determine a predicted value of the report parameter based on a plurality of historic measurements. Further, the user equipment may determine to suspend transmission of the report parameter based on the predicted value, and transmit a report suspension message to the base station, the report suspension message indicating that the UE has implemented a temporary suspension of reporting of the report parameter in the CSI report.

The method also includes determining, by a lower analog media access control (MAC-A) layer of an analog data communications stack, a quantity of analog neural network gradients to transmit in a data packet using resources allocated by the uplink grant. The determining is based on an analog physical (PHY-A) layer encoding scheme and the resources allocated by the uplink grant. The method further includes segmenting the analog neural network gradients into the data packet. The method still further includes transferring the data packet to the PHY-A layer for transmission to the network device across a wireless network.
