摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless systems, a base station may configure a user equipment (UE) for random access (RACH) message transmission in dedicated RACH resources during, for example, a handover process. The contention-free random access (CFRA) resources may allow the UE to transmit RACH messages at a higher transmission power than contention-based random access (CBRA) resources. The base station may indicate, to the UE, RACH transmission parameters for CFRA that are different than parameters for CBRA. These parameters may include configuration information, frequency division multiplexing information, RACH retransmission parameters, target received power, response window length, etc. The UE may use the indicated RACH transmission parameters to transmit a RACH message to the base station. The base station may respond with a RACH response message, and the base station and UE may synchronize upon completion of the RACH procedure.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for beam switching by a repeater node that forwards communications from one of a first node or a second node to the other of the first node or the second node. For example, after a change of position by the second node, the first node may provide the repeater node an instruction to perform a beam change operation to communicate with the second node. In some aspects, performing the beam change operation by the repeater node may improve reliability of wireless communications, such as by focusing signal energy in a particular direction. Further, a beam change delay time interval or a scheduling of the beam change delay time interval may be selected based on scheduling associated with other nodes, which may reduce a number of messages sent to the repeater node (such as by reducing instructions to change beam directions).

摘要: Aspects provide for autonomous adjustment of the uplink and downlink transmission timing in wireless communication networks. A radio access network (RAN) entity (e.g., a scheduling entity, such as a base station or parent integrated access backhaul (IAB) node, or a centralized network node, such as an IAB donor node central unit) may provide support to a scheduled entity (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or child IAB node) to operate in an autonomous time adjustment (ATA) mode to autonomously adjust its uplink transmission timing to compensate for the change in downlink reception timing. The RAN entity may generate ATA mode information related to the ATA mode for the scheduled entity and transit the ATA mode information to the scheduled entity.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for resource allocation in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. A relay node in an IAB network may be assigned a first resource partition that is different from a second resource partition for the child and parent nodes. Based on a resource configuration (e.g., for a slot) of the second resource partition, the relay node may opportunistically utilize the second resource partition for communications. For instance, the relay node may determine a direction table based on the resource configurations of the child and parent nodes, which may be used to perform uplink or downlink communications in one or more symbols of the second resource partition. The relay node may also identify flexible symbols as free or non-free when determining the direction table.

摘要: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for performing a beam recovery procedure using a second CC are disclosed. A UE may perform a beam recovery procedure using two component carriers (CCs): for example, first component carrier may be a beam formed millimeter wave (MMW) carrier having a beam recovery procedure and second component carrier may be an assisting carrier such as a sub-6 GHz carrier or a different MMW carrier. In a first example, a UE may trigger beam recovery for first component carrier (on second component carrier), generate a beam measurement report, and transmit the beam report on resources allocated for uplink transmission on second component carrier. In a second example, a new scheduling request (SR) may be defined on first component carrier for second component carrier beam recovery. In a third example, RACH resources or procedures on second component carrier may be used to perform the beam recovery for first component carrier.

The UE may receive, in a second subset bandwidth of the system bandwidth, the second repetition of the system information block transmission according to the grant and based at least in part on the mapping configuration.

In some aspects, a base station may send a beam modification command that indicates a set of transmit beam indexes corresponding to a set of transmit beams of a base station, and each transmit beam index of the set of transmit beam indexes may indicate at least a transmit direction for transmitting a transmit beam by the base station. The base station may send, in association with the beam modification command, a reference signal using at least one transmit beam of the set of transmit beams, where a first portion of the reference signal is sent in a first set of symbols and a second portion of the reference signal is received in a second set of symbols.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may use quasi co-located antenna ports for transmission of synchronization signal(s)/reference signal(s) and paging signals. For example, the base station may use a first antenna port configuration for transmission of the synchronization/reference signal(s) and a second antenna port configuration for transmission of the paging signal (e.g., paging indicator, paging message, etc.). The base station may transmit an indication of the quasi co-located antenna ports. A user equipment (UE) may receive the synchronization signal and, based on the antenna ports being quasi co-located, receive the paging signal. In some examples, the UE may determine which receive beam to use to receive the paging signal based on the antenna ports being quasi co-located. In some aspects, the UE may use a reference signal transmitted on antenna ports that are quasi co-located with the paging signal antenna ports.
