Abstract:
This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for communicating information of multiple wireless access points (APs) affiliated with an AP multi-link device (MLD). Some aspects more specifically relate to techniques for communicating information regarding multiple APs affiliated with an AP MLD in multiple response frames. In some examples, a first response frame may include information regarding a first set of APs that is less than all of the APs indicated by a wireless station (STA) MLD request and a second response frame may include information regarding a second set of APs including one or more AP of the APs missing from the first set of APs. Some examples may additionally or alternatively provide for an AP MLD signaling an indication of a number of allowed association links with respect to the AP MLD, such as for establish a maximum number of allowed association links.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for analyzing management frames for multiple basic service sets (BSSs). In one aspect, a wireless node may obtain a first management frame from a wireless local area network (WLAN) apparatus, the WLAN apparatus operating multiple virtual access points (VAPs) respectively corresponding to multiple BSSs. The wireless node may determine whether the first management frame includes a BSS profile of a BSS associated with the wireless node based, at least in part, on an arrangement of a plurality of BSS profiles within one or more management frames. The wireless node may determine to further process the first management frame based, at least in part, on a determination that the first management frame includes the BSS profile of the BSS associated with the wireless node.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a wireless communication device. A wireless communication device may receive a data frame and use it to estimate a residual channel length (RCL). The device may then modify a finite impulse response (FIR) filter based on the estimated RCL. For example, the device may add additional taps to the FIR filter. The device may continue to adjust the FIR filter until the RCL is at or near zero. In some cases, the wireless communication device may send an indication to the transmitting device to adjust an FIR filter based on the estimated RCL. In some cases, the length of a guard interval may also be adjusted based on the estimated RCL.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for implementing multi-link aggregation and conditional inheritance in a first basic service set (BSS). In one aspect, an apparatus may establish a first communication link with a first station (STA) of the first BSS using a first frequency band. The apparatus may determine a first link profile for a second communication link by customizing one or more management elements of management information associated with the first communication link. The apparatus may configure a first non-inheritance element of the first link profile associated with the second communication link to indicate usage of at least one management element of the management information by the second communication link is disabled. The apparatus may generate a management frame that comprises at least the first link profile, and may output the management frame for transmission.

In a particular aspect, a method includes receiving, at a long-term evolution (LTE) circuitry of wireless device from a wireless local area network (WLAN) circuitry of the wireless device while the LTE circuitry has control of at least one antenna of the wireless device, a request for control of the at least one antenna. Communications by the LTE circuitry using the at least one antenna corresponds to a first frequency band, communications by the WLAN circuitry using the at least one antenna correspond to a second frequency band, and the first frequency band at least partially overlaps the second frequency band. The method further includes sending a response from the LTE circuitry to the WLAN circuitry based on data included in the request.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for adaptive dwell time for scan procedures. An access terminal (AT) may identify a scan period associated with performing a scan procedure on a first channel. The AT may analyze a channel congestion metric during the scan period and determine based, at least in part, on the channel congestion metric whether to exit the first channel. The AT may provide a probe request for transmission on a second channel during a remaining portion of the scan period based on the determination to exit the first channel.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for saving power in wireless communications. One aspect includes providing an indication of a sleep duration for transmission to a wireless node, communicating with the wireless node during a target wakeup time (TWT), wherein the communication comprises at least one of providing data for transmission to the wireless node or obtaining data received from the wireless node, and refraining from providing data for transmission to the wireless node for at least the indicated sleep duration based at least in part on timing of the communication. Another aspect includes receiving an indication of a sleep duration from a wireless node, communicating with the wireless node during a time slot of a TWT, and entering a sleep mode for the indicated sleep duration based at least in part on timing of the communication with the wireless node during the time slot of the TWT.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. A device with multiple radios may establish a wireless local area network (WLAN) connection with a multi-radio gateway (i.e., a multiPHY gateway) and a wide area network (WAN) connection with a base station. The multi-radio device may receive a proxy capability indication from the multi-radio gateway and may transmit connection information relating to the second wireless connection. The multi-radio device may then establish a tunnel to the base station utilizing a proxy entity within the multi-radio gateway and close a physical (PHY) connection of the second wireless connection in order to save power. The multi-radio gateway may receive messages (e.g., paging, broadcast, or multicast messages) from the base station on behalf of the multi-radio device using the proxy entity, and tunnel the messages through to the multi-radio device using the WLAN wireless connection.
