Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information identifying a set of cells configured for conditional handover (CHO). The UE may identify one or more features associated with a cell. The UE may monitor one or more cells of the set of cells, wherein the one or more cells are associated with the one or more features, and wherein the one or more cells are prioritized over cells not associated with the one or more features in the cell search. The UE may initiate a handover to an identified cell based at least in part on the cell search. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive handover information associated with one or more neighbor cells. The UE may identify that a first discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle associated with a first subscriber identity module (SIM) of the UE at least partially overlaps with a second DRX cycle associated with a second SIM of the UE. The UE may identify that at least one of the first DRX cycle or the second DRX cycle does not overlap with a third DRX cycle associated with a neighbor cell of the one or more neighbor cells. The UE may transmit, to the neighbor cell, a message associated with a handover of at least one of the first SIM or the second SIM to the neighbor cell. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Techniques for recovering quickly from a radio link failure (RLF) by identifying potentially strong candidate cells, while avoiding the conventional delays from relying only on initial ACQ DB scans followed by band-scanning, are disclosed. In one aspect, a wireless apparatus such as a user equipment (UE) may identify a radio link failure (RLF) of an existing wireless connection. The UE may prioritize, during an RLF recovery procedure for restoring the connection, candidate cells using connection criteria from one or more measurement reports. The UE can thereupon restore the connection using a cell having a highest priority. In various configurations, the UE can use cells from A3, A4, A5, inter-RAT or periodic measurement reports to reestablish a stronger connection in a faster time.

Abstract: Methods and mechanisms for performing idle mode mobility procedures are provided. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes: receiving, from a base station (BS) on a first cell, system information indicating a first cell reselection priority configuration; receiving, from the BS, dedicated signaling indicating a dedicated cell reselection priority configuration, wherein the dedicated cell reselection priority configuration is empty; and connecting, while in an idle mode and in response to the dedicated cell reselection priority configuration being empty, to a second cell different from the first cell based on the first cell reselection priority configuration received in the system information.

NEW RADIO (NR) CELL ADDITION IN NON-STANDALONE MODE

Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for expediting New Radio (NR) cell addition in non-standalone (NSA) mode. The UE may receive a conditional handover (CHO) command from a first anchor cell operating a first frequency range (e.g., a Long Term Evolution (LTE) frequency range) that enables the UE to subsequently select a different anchor cell to which to perform a handover. The UE may then receive a deconfiguration from the first anchor cell of a measurement object for secondary cell addition in a second frequency range (e.g., a NR frequency range). Based on the CHO command and the deconfiguration of the measurement object, the UE may then perform a handover to a second anchor cell in the first frequency range to facilitate addition of at least one secondary cell in the second frequency range.
