Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for controlling operations of a vehicle configured for passenger service. In some implementations, a vehicle controller includes one or more processors communicably coupled to a memory, the one or more processors configured to determine an expected entry or exit point for the passenger of the vehicle. The one or more processors may be configured to detect whether an obstacle or hazardous condition is present at or near a site. The one or more processors may be configured to determine, in response to detecting that the obstacle or hazardous condition is present at or near the site, a drop-off or pick-up location associated with the site based at least in part on a position of the expected entry or exit point for the passenger of the vehicle and the detected obstacle or hazardous condition.
