    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may support communications with a user equipment (UE) that is moving at a first speed that meets or exceeds a threshold via a cell that is configured to support such communications, which may be referred to as a high speed train (HST) cell. The network entity and the UE may support cell acquisition that prioritizes camping on an HST cell over a non-HST cell. The UE and the network entity may communicate acquisition signaling associated with establishing a connection with the network entity using a first frequency associated with an HST cell and a non-HST cell. Based on an identifier indicating that the HST cell is an HST cell, the UE may prioritize the HST cell over the non-HST cell during cell acquisition and establish the connection with the network entity via the HST cell.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method includes receiving, from a first base station, control signaling indicating one or more frequency bands on which one or more neighbor base stations operate that are associated with a first geographic location of the first base station, performing, based on the control signaling, a frequency scanning procedure using at least one frequency band of the one or more frequency bands to select a first neighbor base station of the one or more neighbor base stations, and establishing connectivity with the first neighbor base station based on the frequency scanning procedure.

A user equipment (UE) associated with a first subscription and a second subscription may establish a connection with a base station, the first subscription in a connected state. The UE may use the first subscription to perform a communication activity with the base station while the first subscription is in the connected state. Upon completion of the communication activity, the UE may transmit UE assistance information (UAI) to the base station indicating a preference of the UE to switch the first subscription to an inactive state in response to a release message from the base station.
