    摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may establish a connection with a network entity and transition to an inactive state in which a security context associated with the connection between the network entity and the UE is maintained. The UE may determine, based on a presence of data for transmission via the connection while in the inactive state, that one or more parameters associated with the connection meet a threshold criteria, and transmit the data via the connection while in the inactive state. The threshold criteria may be, for example, a cell energy of a serving cell associated with the connection, and an amount of data to be transmitted may be below a size threshold associated with a small data transmission.

    摘要: Aspects of resolving conflicting configuration parameters during wireless communication include triggering reselection to a new cell from a current cell and determining that a user equipment (UE) is configured in a forward access channel (FACH) state and is waiting for a Layer 2 Acknowledgement (L2 ACK) message from a network entity when reselection to the new cell is triggered. Further, the aspects include performing a collision resolution procedure in response to the determination that the UE is configured in the FACH state and is waiting for the L2 ACK message. In some aspects, the collision resolution procedure establishes which one of a plurality of information elements (IEs) to choose for a reconfiguration procedure.

    摘要: The present disclosure describes a method and an apparatus for managing security mode command (SMC) integrity failures at a user equipment (UE). For example, a method is provided for managing SMC integrity failures which receives a SMC message at the UE from a network entity. A message authentication code for data integrity (MAC-I) failure based at least on a mismatch of a security parameter at the UE may be detected at the UE. Moreover, a corrective action may be performed at the UE in response to the detection of the MAC-I failure at the UE.

    摘要: The present disclosure presents an improved method and apparatus for re-transmission of reconfiguration messages. For example, the disclosure presents a method for detecting that a reconfiguration complete message is transmitted from a user equipment (UE) to a network and initiating a reconfiguration re-transmission timer upon the detection. In addition, such an example method, may include determining that the UE has not received a layer two acknowledgement (L2 ACK) message for the transmitted reconfiguration complete message from the network prior to expiration of the reconfiguration re-transmission timer and triggering a cell update message to the network in response to the determination that the UE has not received the L2 ACK message. As such, improved re-transmission of reconfiguration messages may be achieved.

A user equipment (UE) associated with a first subscription and a second subscription may establish a connection with a base station, the first subscription in a connected state. The UE may use the first subscription to perform a communication activity with the base station while the first subscription is in the connected state. Upon completion of the communication activity, the UE may transmit UE assistance information (UAI) to the base station indicating a preference of the UE to switch the first subscription to an inactive state in response to a release message from the base station.

A user equipment (UE) may identify a group of cells available for cell selection or reselection, where the group of cells includes a first subset of cells that each have at least one capability (e.g., of a set of capabilities) and a second subset of cells. The UE may assign a relatively higher respective priority to each cell within the first subset of cells than each cell within the second subset of cells based on each cell within the first subset of cells having at least one capability. The UE may select a cell from the group of cells based on the respective priority and may attempt to camp on the selected cell. Additionally, the UE may store the assigned respective priorities in a data structure at the UE.
