    Abstract: Embodiments provided herein allow for identification of one or more regions of interest in a radar return signal that would be suitable for selected application of super-resolution processing. One or more super-resolution processing techniques can be applied to the identified regions of interest. The selective application of super-resolution processing techniques can reduce processing requirements and overall system delay. The output data of the super-resolution processing can be provided to a mobile computer system. The output data of the super-resolution processing can also be used to reconfigure the radar radio frequency front end to beam form the radar signal in region of the detected objects. The mobile computer system can use the output data for implementation of deep learning techniques. The deep learning techniques enable the vehicle to identify and classify detected objects for use in automated driving processes. The super-resolution processing techniques can be implemented in analog and/or digital circuitry.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing dynamically adjusted radiated signals are disclosed. In one aspect, a method of detecting one or more objects in a path of travel of a vehicle may include generating a laser with radiated power. The method may further include emitting the laser in a direction of travel of the vehicle and receiving one or more reflections of the emitted laser reflected from the one or more objects located in the direction of travel of the vehicle. The method may also further include generating a signal indicating that the one or more objects are in a path of the vehicle based on the received one or more reflections. The method may also include dynamically adjusting the radiated power of the laser based on an input corresponding to one or more of (i) a current speed of the vehicle or (ii) a current position of the vehicle.

    Abstract: In some aspects, a device may receive, from a radar scanner or a LIDAR scanner of a vehicle, point data that identifies a first point and a second point. The device may receive grid information that identifies cells of a grid that is associated with mapping a physical environment of the vehicle. The device may designate, based on determining that a distance between the first point and the second point satisfies a distance threshold, a subset of the cells as an occupied cluster that is associated with the first point and the second point. The device may perform an action associated with the vehicle based on location information associated with the occupied cluster. Numerous other aspects are described.
