Abstract: An axial-rotation locking-mechanism assembly includes a handle, a locking assembly, and a shaft. The locking assembly includes a locking element and a cam mechanism. The shaft is operatively connected to the handle and the locking assembly. When the handle is rotated in a first direction, the shaft is rotated in a first direction and drives the cam mechanism to move the locking element in a first axial direction. When the handle is rotated in a second direction, the shaft is rotated in a second direction and drives the cam mechanism to move the locking element in a second axial direction. The second direction is the opposite of the first direction. The first axial direction is the opposite of the second direction.

Abstract: An equipment rack with a compact adjustable cable management arm is disclosed. The equipment rack includes a plurality of chassis slots arranged vertically. The server device includes a chassis, a motherboard module, a power-supply module, a storage array module, and a plurality of input/output interface elements. Abstract: An apparatus and method for engaging a mounting panel of a computer device includes a bracket, as well as a lever and slider mechanism connected to the bracket. The lever and slider mechanism includes a base, a wedge slider, a lever, a geared bar, and a biasing element. The base is connected to the bracket. The wedge slider is connected to the bracket and disposed immediately below the base. Rotating the lever from a first position to a second position causes a gear to engage the geared bar, causing the geared bar to move vertically. The rotating allows movement along the contact between an angled end of the geared bar and a wedged end protrusion of the wedge slider such that the biasing element pushes the wedge slider away from the bracket and allows the wedge slider to engage an opening in a mounting panel.

Abstract: An apparatus adapted to house a component oriented in a first direction used for facilitating insertion and removal of the component in a second direction to/from a chassis, the first direction orthogonal to the second direction. The apparatus can be a caddy with an attached pivoting handle. Pivoting the handle in the first direction down towards the caddy causes the hard drive to slide in the second direction to couple with a hard drive coupling on the chassis. In some implementations, the caddy houses a hard drive in a vertical orientation, such that multiple hard drives can be coupled side-by-side to each other. In some implementations, the caddy is removably attached to the chassis. The chassis can comprise a rail, and the handle can comprise a hook. The hook attaches to the rail forming a removable attachment that allows for easy removal and insertion of the caddy.

Abstract: A mounting system for an electronic device is disclosed. The mounting system includes a mounting plate; a plurality of fasteners for coupling the mounting plate with the electronic device; a single main gear mounted on the mounting plate; a plurality of secondary gears coupled, respectively, to the plurality of fasteners; and a plurality of intermediate gears mounted on the mounting plate and rotationally coupled between the single main gear and the plurality of secondary gears. Rotation of each of the plurality of secondary gears causes a fastening movement of a respective one of the plurality of fasteners. Simultaneous rotation of the plurality of intermediate gears causes the plurality of secondary gears to rotate simultaneously in response to a single rotational force being received by the main gear. The simultaneous rotation of the plurality of intermediate gears causes a simultaneous fastening movement of the plurality of secondary gears.
