    摘要: An access point station (AP) configured for ultra-high reliability (UHR) communication in a wireless local area network (WLAN) may receive low-latency (i.e., time-sensitive) traffic during a transmission opportunity (TXOP) by transmission of an initial frame encoded to indicate whether or not preemption for low-latency (LL) traffic is enabled during the TXOP. When preemption for LL traffic is enabled during the TXOP, the AP may encode downlink (DL) physical-layer protocol data units (PPDUs) for transmission within the TXOP. The DL PPDUs may be transmitted with an extended short interframe spacing (xIFS) therebetween. Each of the DL PPDUs may indicate whether the xIFS that follows a DL PPDU is enabled for preemption. When a signal comprising at least a legacy short-training field (L-STF) is detected within one of the xIFSs that is enabled for preemption, the AP may suspend a subsequent transmission of at least the next DL PPDU and may attempt to decode a frame that comprises the L-STF to determine if the frame is a preemption request frame. The AP may trigger a station (STA) to transmit LL traffic to the AP when the frame is determined to be a preemption request frame.

    摘要: An access-point station (AP) configured for communicating multi-user (MU) physical layer protocol data units (PPDUs) (MU-PPDUs) with plurality of non-AP stations (STAs) using dynamic channel switching may acquire a transmission opportunity (TXOP) on a channel comprising a primary channel and one or more non-primary channels. The AP may encode a channel switching indication frame that may request that at least some of the STAs temporarily switch from operating on the primary channel to operating on one of the non-primary channels. The AP may decode a response frame from each of the STAs that are indicated to switch. Each response frame may be received on the non-primary channel that an indicated STA is requested to switch to. For a downlink (DL) transmission, the AP may encode a DL MU-PPDU comprised of a plurality of PPDUs of different physical layer (PHY) types including at least a first PPDU for transmission on the primary channel to a first STA that had not been instructed to switch to a non-primary channel, and at least a second PPDU for transmission on one of the non-primary channels to a second STA that had been instructed to switch to one of the non-primary channels.

    摘要: An apparatus and method of encoding Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) packet protocol data units (PPDU) is disclosed. For LDPC codeword of lengths 3888 and/or 7776, the number and length of codewords to use may depend on the number of available bits. In this case, if the number of available bits is larger than 1944 and less than 2596, two codewords of length 1944 or a single codeword of length 3888 to encode the PPDU is used to encode the PPDU. For larger numbers of available bits, one or more codewords of length 3888 or 7776 is used to encode the PPDU. Shortening and/or puncturing, when used, is also based on the number of available bits.
