摘要: An apparatus and method of signaling coding type is disclosed. The coding types include binary convolutional coding (BCC), legacy lifted Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) code, and lifted LDPC code having a length that is a multiple of the maximum legacy LDPC code. The number of bits used to indicate the coding type in a User Info field depends on whether multiple lifted LDPC codes are available for encoding, whether the lifted LDPC code is an optional coding type, or a payload size. The frame containing the User Info field is transmitted to another STA and the response contains a payload encoded using the indicated coding type.

摘要: A physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) may include legacy preamble fields followed by a universal signal field (U-SIG). For an extended range (ER) transmission, the U-SIG is encoded to indicate via a bit whether the PPDU is an ER PPDU or a non-ER PPDU. When the U-SIG is encoded to indicate that the PPDU is an ER PPDU, the PPDU may include ER preamble fields following the U-SIG and an ER data field following the ER preamble fields. The ER preamble fields may comprise pre-ER modulated fields followed by ER modulated fields. The pre-ER modulate fields may comprise an ER short training field (ER-STF) followed by an ER long training field (ER-LTF) followed by an ER signal field (ER-SIG). The ER modulated fields may comprise at least the ER data field.

摘要: A station (STA) configured for operation in a wireless local area network (WLAN) may implement an unequal Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) for Probabilistic Constellation Shaping using first and second shaping encoders. The first shaping encoder may encode a first segment of input bits for a first modulation order and generate a first shaped bit stream and the second shaping encoder may encode a second segment of input bits for a second modulation order to generate a second shaped bit stream. A first QAM symbol stream may be generated at least from the first shaped bit stream and from parity bits using the first modulation order and a second QAM symbol stream may be generated at least from the second shaped bit stream and from parity bits using the second modulation order. The STA may generate the parity bits from the first and second shaped bit streams with one or more LDPC encoders and may transmit the first and second QAM symbol streams within a PPDU.

摘要: An access point station (AP) configured for ultra-high reliability (UHR) communication in a wireless local area network (WLAN) may receive low-latency (i.e., time-sensitive) traffic during a transmission opportunity (TXOP) by transmission of an initial frame encoded to indicate whether or not preemption for low-latency (LL) traffic is enabled during the TXOP. When preemption for LL traffic is enabled during the TXOP, the AP may encode downlink (DL) physical-layer protocol data units (PPDUs) for transmission within the TXOP. The DL PPDUs may be transmitted with an extended short interframe spacing (xIFS) therebetween. Each of the DL PPDUs may indicate whether the xIFS that follows a DL PPDU is enabled for preemption. When a signal comprising at least a legacy short-training field (L-STF) is detected within one of the xIFSs that is enabled for preemption, the AP may suspend a subsequent transmission of at least the next DL PPDU and may attempt to decode a frame that comprises the L-STF to determine if the frame is a preemption request frame. The AP may trigger a station (STA) to transmit LL traffic to the AP when the frame is determined to be a preemption request frame.

摘要: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. An AP may be configurable to operate as a master AP of a multi-AP group comprising the master AP and one or more satellite APs. The master AP may select, from the multi-AP group, a set of APs that is to communicate with a STA in accordance with joint processing. The master AP may allocate one or more spatial streams to each of the APs of the set of APs for a joint transmission of a null data packet (NDP) to the STA for channel sounding. The master AP may transmit an NDP announcement (NDPA) that indicates that the APs of the set of APs are to perform the joint transmission of the NDP.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for tone plans and preambles for extremely high throughput (EHT) in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of an EHT access point (AP) or EHT station (STA), where the apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to: encode a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), the PPDU including a EHT preamble, the EHT preamble including a legacy preamble portion and a EHT preamble portion, the legacy preamble including a legacy short training field (L-SFT), a legacy long-training field (L-LTF), and a legacy signal field (L-SIG), the EHT preamble portion comprising an EHT short signal field (EHT S-SIG), the EHT S-SIG including a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) subfield indicating a MCS of a subsequent data portion. The PPDU may be transmitted on a distributed or contiguous resource unit (RU) allocation. The RU may be configured to not straddle two physical 20 MHz subchannels.
