摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for clear-to-send duration field adjustments are disclosed. Apparatuses of a station (STA) are disclosed, where the apparatuses comprise processing circuitry configured to: decode a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU), the PPDU including a request to send (RTS) frame, the RTS frame comprising an address of the STA and a first duration field, the first duration field indicating a first duration. The processing circuitry is further configured to: setting a second duration to a duration that ends before a transmission and encoding for transmission a clear-to-send (CTS) frame, the CTS frame comprising a second duration field, the second duration field indicating the reduced second duration.

摘要: A physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) may include legacy preamble fields followed by a universal signal field (U-SIG). For an extended range (ER) transmission, the U-SIG is encoded to indicate via a bit whether the PPDU is an ER PPDU or a non-ER PPDU. When the U-SIG is encoded to indicate that the PPDU is an ER PPDU, the PPDU may include ER preamble fields following the U-SIG and an ER data field following the ER preamble fields. The ER preamble fields may comprise pre-ER modulated fields followed by ER modulated fields. The pre-ER modulate fields may comprise an ER short training field (ER-STF) followed by an ER long training field (ER-LTF) followed by an ER signal field (ER-SIG). The ER modulated fields may comprise at least the ER data field.

摘要: An access-point station (AP) configured for communicating multi-user (MU) physical layer protocol data units (PPDUs) (MU-PPDUs) with plurality of non-AP stations (STAs) using dynamic channel switching may acquire a transmission opportunity (TXOP) on a channel comprising a primary channel and one or more non-primary channels. The AP may encode a channel switching indication frame that may request that at least some of the STAs temporarily switch from operating on the primary channel to operating on one of the non-primary channels. The AP may decode a response frame from each of the STAs that are indicated to switch. Each response frame may be received on the non-primary channel that an indicated STA is requested to switch to. For a downlink (DL) transmission, the AP may encode a DL MU-PPDU comprised of a plurality of PPDUs of different physical layer (PHY) types including at least a first PPDU for transmission on the primary channel to a first STA that had not been instructed to switch to a non-primary channel, and at least a second PPDU for transmission on one of the non-primary channels to a second STA that had been instructed to switch to one of the non-primary channels.

摘要: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. An AP may be configurable to operate as a master AP of a multi-AP group comprising the master AP and one or more satellite APs. The master AP may select, from the multi-AP group, a set of APs that is to communicate with a STA in accordance with joint processing. The master AP may allocate one or more spatial streams to each of the APs of the set of APs for a joint transmission of a null data packet (NDP) to the STA for channel sounding. The master AP may transmit an NDP announcement (NDPA) that indicates that the APs of the set of APs are to perform the joint transmission of the NDP.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for high efficiency (HE) beacon and HE formats in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a high efficiency (HE) access point (AP), where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured select a tuple from the basic HE-MCS set of tuples, if a basic HE modulation and control scheme (MCS)(HE-MCS) and a number of spatial streams (NSS) set of tuples is not empty, and otherwise select the tuple from a mandatory HE-MCS and NSS set of tuples. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a beacon frame in a HE single user (SU) physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), in accordance with the selected tuple, and configure the HE AP to transmit the HE SU PPDU. Null data packets formats, methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses are disclosed for multiple 20 MHz operations.

摘要: Computing readable media, apparatuses, and methods for signaling for uplink sounding are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising processing circuitry. The processing circuitry may be configured to: decode a trigger frame comprising a resource unit (RU) allocation, and a spatial stream (SS) allocation for the first wireless device to transmit an uplink (UL) sounding signal, where the trigger frame include an indication that the trigger frame is for the UL sounding signal. The processing circuitry may be further configured to: determine a path loss based on the indication of the transmit power and a received power of the trigger frame at the first wireless device. The processing circuitry may be configured to: determine a transmit power for the UL sounding signal based on the path loss, and transmit the UL sounding signal in accordance with the RU allocation, the SS allocation, and the transmit power.

摘要: Methods and devices are described in which the MU-RTS (multi-user request-to-send) trigger frame is compressed by having a single field trigger a group of users instead of an individual user. This technique also enables the indication of a set of transmission format parameters to the same group of users. In one embodiment, one Per-User Info field of the MU-RTS frame is used to indicate that the CTS (clear-to-send) response is to be transmitted by multiple stations instead of a having a Per-User Info field for each station.

An apparatus of an access point (AP) or station (STA) comprising processing circuitry configured to encode an AP trigger frame that includes a resource allocation for other APs to transmit trigger frames to perform an uplink or downlink multi-user transmission with stations (STAs). The resource allocation includes information so that the transmissions are coordinated at the physical level to lessen interference among the APs and the stations. The processing is configured to encode a trigger frame for multi-AP request-to-send (RTS), the multi-AP trigger frame comprising for each of a plurality of APs, the trigger frame indicating that each of a plurality of APs are to transmit a physical (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) comprising a request-to-send (RTS) or multi-user (MU) RTS (MU-RTS).

The master AP may establish the multi-AP group by: transmitting one or more messages to advertise the multi-AP group; and exchanging signaling with one or more of the other APs of the multi-AP group. The signaling may include at least one message related to one of the other APs joining the multi-AP group. The master AP may establish the multi-AP group to enable usage of AP Trigger Frames (AP TFs) for coordination of resources to be used for downlink transmissions of the APs of the multi-AP group.

The processing circuitry may be further configured to set the TXOP duration field value to indicate a largest duration value representable by the TXOP duration field that is equal to or less than a duration value indicated by the first MAC duration field, if the first HE PPDU is to include a first media access control (MAC) duration field in a first MAC-layer portion of the first HE PPDU.
