    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for early termination of decoding attempts, including decoding attempts associated with physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates that are encoded using a rateless code. In some aspects, a transmitting device may encode a message using a rateless code associated with a cumulative encoding of various portions of the message, and using a device identifier or group identifier as an input to the encoding. Similarly, a receiving device may receive an encoded signal over candidate resources and may attempt to decode the signal in accordance with the rateless code and using a device identifier or a group identifier as an input to the decoding. As such, intended or non-intended receiving device may be able to evaluate whether to proceed with a decoding attempt or to terminate a decoding attempt at a relatively early stage.

In some aspects, a transmitter wireless communication device may identify one or more resources, in a plurality of resources of a communication channel, for which a channel characteristic fails to satisfy a threshold. The transmitter wireless communication device may interleave a plurality of coded bits to form a plurality of interleaved coded bits, the plurality of coded bits including a set of systematic bits and a set of parity bits, wherein the plurality of coded bits is interleaved such that a first subset of parity bits from the set of parity bits is mapped to the one or more resources for which the channel characteristic fails to satisfy the threshold. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of one or more masking parameters associated with an inpainting scheme to a receiving device. The UE may remove, according to the one or more masking parameters of the inpainting scheme, a portion of image data from an image to obtain a masked image, the masked image having a smaller amount of image data than the image. The UE may compress, according to a compression scheme, the masked image to obtain a compressed image, the compressed image having a smaller amount of image data than the masked image based at least in part on the compression. The UE may transmit the compressed image to the receiving device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may transmit one or more reference signals to a user equipment (UE). The network entity may receive, from the UE, channel estimation information based on the reference signals and observed channel conditions for the UE during a first time slot. The network entity may determine, based on the received channel estimation information, a first channel condition prediction associated with a first sub-slot of a second time slot and a second channel condition prediction associated with a second sub-slot of the second time slot.     Abstract: Method and apparatus for reduced signaling overhead in PAPR reduction techniques. The apparatus receives, from a transmitter, a signal comprising a set of overhead bits associated with a PAPR reduction sequence applied to a data signal from the signal, wherein the set of overhead bits are distinct from data symbols corresponding to the data signal. The apparatus decodes the set of overhead bits to identify the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal from the signal. The apparatus removes the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal. The apparatus decodes a remaining set of symbols of the data symbols from the signal, wherein the remaining set of symbols are free of the PAPR reduction sequence.
