Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a new method for evaluating and/or screening an excellent healthcare material or pharmaceutical product based on a new concept. The present invention to solve the above object is a method for evaluating and/or screening a control agent for tissue morphology and/or tissue function, the method including: applying a test substance to a tissue or cell capable of expressing a mechanical stress signaling molecule; and evaluating expression, activity, or intracellular localization of the mechanical stress signaling molecule in the tissue or cell.

Abstract: A perfusion lumen is connected to at least one perfusion blood vessel among a plurality of blood vessels that extends from a branch of a plurality of blood vessels protruding from a liver, the branch existing on a distal side viewed from the liver, to a further distal side viewed from the liver. The perfusion lumen is supplied with perfusate to perfuse the liver and maintain the condition of the liver. Among blood vessels that are not connected to the perfusion lumen, at least one conserved blood vessel is obstructed and conserved for anastomosis to a blood vessel of the living body. Accordingly, the perfusion state of the liver is maintained even during anastomosis to the blood vessels of the living body. This enables anastomosis to the blood vessels of the living body while maintaining the perfusion state of the liver.

Abstract: For perfusion, blood vessels protruding from a removed organ or tissue and cannulas for circulating perfusate are tightened and bound at positions away from the cut ends of the blood vessels toward a proximal side viewed from the organ. The cut ends of the aforementioned blood vessels that are anastomosed to blood vessels of a living body are spaced from the binding positions at which the cannulas are secured. The direction to the blood vessels of the living body can be conducted while moving the cannulas in various postures relative to the blood vessels protruding from the organ or tissue. This enables performing an anastomosis operation while maintaining the perfusion state. In this way, organs and tissues that include at least one artery route and at least one vein route can be anastomosed to blood vessels of a living body while maintaining the perfusion state.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to propose a method for measuring the level of health of a subject, with which it is possible: to perform health examination that is non-invasive to the human body and that employs a simple method; to provide highly reliable analysis results having a scientific basis; and to, additionally, provide appropriate solutions to the subject. Another purpose of the present invention is to propose a health-level determining apparatus employing said method and a new business model employing said method. The present invention is a method for measuring the level of health of a subject, including a hair analyzing step (A) for analyzing hair of the subject. It is preferable that the aforementioned hair analyzing step (A) include a step (A-1) for analyzing hair in the occipital region. In addition, it is preferable that the aforementioned hair analyzing step (A) include a step (A-2) for analyzing hair in a site other than the occipital region.

Abstract: Provided are a hair observation method, a phase contrast microscope system, and a preparation. The hair observation method includes capturing an infrared image of the hair using an image sensor that is capable of detecting infrared light. A phase contrast microscope system includes: a stage having a sample placed thereon; an infrared light irradiation source for irradiating infrared light to the sample placed on the stage; an image sensor that is capable of detecting infrared light and configured to capture an infrared image of the sample; and a display apparatus configured to display the infrared image captured by the image sensor. The preparation includes a microscope glass and a plurality of hair pieces that are obtained by cutting one hair and arranged on the microscope glass in a manner parallel with one another from one end to another end in a cutting order.

Abstract: A perfusion device and a perfusion method can allocate two routes of perfusate inflow pathways and two routes of perfusate outflow pathways for a liver graft. The perfusate inflow pathways have perfusate inflow cannulas connected respectively to the portal vein and the hepatic artery. The perfusate outflow pathways have perfusate outflow cannulas connected respectively to the suprahepatic inferior vena cava and the infrahepatic inferior vena cava. Perfusate is allowed to enter the liver from the perfusate inflow cannulas, and the perfusate in the liver is allowed to drain off from the perfusate outflow cannulas. This significantly shortens the time length of the liver graft being in an ischemic condition when the liver is removed or transplanted. That is, the onset of disorder in the liver graft can be suppressed. This increases the success rate of liver transplantation. Thus, deterioration of organ grafts during surgery is prevented in organ transplantation surgery that requires long hours.
