    Abstract: Multi-conductor cables for telecommunication systems are disclosed. One multi-conductor cable may include a plurality of fiber-optic conductors and/or power conductors extending within an outer jacket in a main body portion of the cable, and extending outside of the outer jacket in a break-out portion of the cable. A break-out boot may be attached to the outer jacket and may surround the conductors in a break-out portion of the cable. Potting material may be provided in the break-out boot within spaces between adjacent conductors to provide innovative sealing of the break-out portion.

    Abstract: Difficulties in grounding a non-integral, deep drawn resonator (DDR) to the filter body of a cavity may be substantially eliminated by preventing the movement of the DDR away from a grounding contact area on the filter body. The addition of a compression plate and stop limiter in the connection of the non-integral DR to the filter body helps insure that any such movement is eliminated or substantially reduced.

    Abstract: Orthomode transducers (OMTs) and methods of fabricating OMTs are disclosed. According to disclosed embodiments, an OMT includes a housing defining an internal waveguide. The housing may be composed of a first cast housing member attached to a second cast housing member. The first housing member may include a first side of the waveguide that is cast into the first housing member. The second housing member may include a second side of the waveguide that is cast into the second housing member. A method of fabricating an OMT may include arranging at least one casting insert in at least one mold, casting the housing in the mold and casting a waveguide in the housing using the at least one casting insert. The disclosed devices and methods provide cost effective solutions for fabricating OMTs of various operating frequencies that share a substantially similar outer housing shape and size.
