摘要： A processing apparatus for processing photosensitive material combines thin channel technology with nozzles, and an inclined processing path. Processing solution can be introduced into the inclined processing path so as to cause the solution to flow along the inclined processing path in a direction which is opposite to a direction of travel of the photosensitive material in the inclined processing path. With the arrangement of the present invention, photosensitive material can be processed in the first processing path by way of the nozzle spray arrangement and can be subjected to further processing along the inclined processing path.

摘要： Textured surfaces on respective walls of racks and tanks of photographic processing apparatus reduce the frictional forces between the photosensitive material leading edge surfaces and the walls of the racks and tanks. The processing solution flows through fissures in the textured surfaces, thereby providing a solution bearing layer between the photosensitive material and the textured surfaces. This allows a greater photosensitive material leading edge impact angle with the textured walls which allows the photosensitive material to change direction unimpeded.

摘要： An apparatus for processing photosensitive materials, which comprises: a tank through which a processing solution is to be pumped; a rack having integral means to facilitate its insertion and removal from the tank, the rack and the tank are relatively dimensioned so that a small volume for holding processing solution and photosensitive material is formed between the rack and the tank; means for circulating the processing solution through the small volume; a first plurality of rollers for moving the photosensitive material into or out of the small volume; a second plurality of rollers connected to the rack; a third plurality of rollers connected to the tank, wherein the second and third plurality of rollers move the photosensitive material through the small volume; means for driving the second plurality of rollers; and means for preventing processing solution from flowing between the driving means and the second plurality of rollers to reduce the space that would otherwise be filled by the processing solution.

摘要： A processing solution container package system includes a frame that supports the containers of the package system and allows each of the containers to collapse while avoiding a trapping of solution within the containers. The frame comprises first and second members that include interlocking sections to permit each of the members to be accommodated on the surface of the containers and interlocked to each other. The frame includes curved sections to support a valve neck of each of the containers in an extended non-collapsed position. This helps in the assembly of the containers, and further prevents the valve necks of the containers from collapsing back towards the top surface of the containers while the containers are being filled with solution. Also, the frame that supports the containers prevents damage to the containers if the containers are accidentally dropped. In a further feature of the invention, the containers have a crown shaped surface which corresponds to a curved surface of the frame. The crown shaped surface of the containers maintain their shape during drainage to avoid the trapping of solution within the container and promote a drainage of essentially all the solution in the container.
