摘要： A conducting flange (1) for an electrical connector (3) is constructed with, spaced apart points of attachment (14) of the flange (1) to a panel, and multiple bumps (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) on the flange (1) to concentrate pressure between the flange (1) and a panel. The bumps (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) have progressively increased heights as their respective distances increase from a closest of said points of attachment (14) to compensate for corresponding decreases in pressure contact between the flange (1) and the panel.

摘要： A stacked jack multi-port shielded and magnetically conditioned connector assembly is provided for assembly in three distinct configurations. In one configuration where power over ethernet is not required, the connector assembly has modular jack terminals which are directly connected to a motherboard. In a second configuration, the connector assembly can receive conditioned and controlled electrical signals to the connector, whereby power over ethernet may be provided through designated ones of the modular jack terminals. In a third configuration, the connector assembly is configured for an integrated power over ethernet card, whereby the device is provided as an integrated assembly.

摘要： A contact sub-assembly is provided for a receptacle connector assembly. The contact sub-assembly includes a housing that includes a body fabricated at least partially from a dielectric material. A plurality of electrical contacts are held by the housing. Each of the electrical contacts has a mating end portion, a tail end portion opposite the mating end portion, and an intermediate portion extending between the mating and tail end portions. The intermediate portions of each of the electrical contacts include an edge. The edge of at least one of the intermediate portions has an indentation therein extending along a portion of a length of the edge.

摘要： A plug and receptacle assembly comprises a plug connector and receptacle connector, for high-density interconnections of data cable. The two connectors are fully shielded and include a mating profile including a modified D-shaped configuration. The receptacle assembly includes a plurality of overmolded webs of lead frames. The webs are overmolded laterally asymmetric to provide a thin web on one side, and a thick web on the other, where air pockets project through the thick webs and expose portions of contacts. The overmolded webs are stacked one against the other such that thin webs are positioned intermediate contacts in the same pair, whereas the thick webs, and air pockets are positioned one against the other in adjacent contacts of adjacent pairs.
