摘要: Systems and techniques are disclosed relating to wireless communications. The systems and techniques involve wireless communications wherein a process, module or communications terminal schedules communications over a frame having a plurality of time slots. The process, module or communications terminal may be used to assign information to be transmitted between two terminals to a block of the time slots within a frame, and reordering the time slot assignments within the frame using a permutation function, the permutation function being a function of frame count.

摘要: An assembly is described for supporting a covering above the surface of a food item to prevent the covering from contacting the food item. A support pin having a shank and a support head is releasibly held in an upright position within a pin receiver in a pin mount. For assemblies placed within the periphery of the food item, the mount may have a base and a vertical column with a shank receiving bore extending upwardly from the base. Another pin mount for assemblies placed around the periphery of the food item has a horizontal foot with a distal end and an outer end, and a vertical leg extending upwardly from the foot outer end, the vertical leg having an outer side opposite the foot and a pin receiving opening adjacent the outer side of the vertical leg.

摘要: Method for reducing power consumption in a multimode device is disclosed. The multimode device includes a COMM1 component and a COMM2 component. In one aspect, a COMM1 component may be a UWB component and a COMM2 component may be a CDMA component. According to a disclosed embodiment, the time for a next scheduled COMM1 wakeup process to be performed by a COMM1 module is established. Thereafter, if the next COMM1 wakeup process is scheduled to be performed before the next COMM2 wakeup process, a COMM2 wakeup process is synchronized to be performed by a COMM2 module at the same time as the next COMM1 wakeup process. Following, when the time arrives for the COMM1 module to perform the next COMM1 wakeup process, the COMM2 module also performs the COMM2 wakeup process.

摘要: Biological inspection procedures and surface sanitization procedures are incorporated with a garment providing service to look for and monitor the presence of microbes, such as bacteria in particular, and to eliminate such microbes within the garment service. Biological inspection procedures can be conducted on the garments themselves, or any surface of the garment facility, such as a surface onto which the garments may come into contact after laundering. Preferably, a washing procedure is conducted based upon a cleaning formulation to also minimize the presence of microbes. Garments are preferably inspected after they are laundered and ready for delivery to the customer. Facility surfaces, such as sorting and/or folding tables that may be utilized after laundering, are sanitized and then may be tested in accordance with the present invention to minimize the potential for contamination of garments from such surfaces. Optionally, the equipment that is used after laundering for such activities can be dedicated for processing garments in accordance with the biological inspection service as such garments are to be delivered to a customer, such as a processor within the food industry.

摘要: An anisotropically-conductive film or a substrate having a surface coated with an anisotropically-conductive coating, said film or coating being formed by solidifying a composition comprising(i) a solidifiable ferrofluid composition, the ferrofluid comprising a colloidal suspension of ferromagnetic particles in a non-magnetic carrier, and(ii) a plurality of electrically-conductive particles, dispersed in the ferrofluid, the electrically-conductive particles having been arrayed in a non-random pattern by application of a substantially uniform magnetic field to the composition in a liquid state and having been locked in position by solidification of the composition. The composition is solidified in an A-stage, usually involving a primary cure. In end-use application of the film or coating, the composition usually undergoes a B-stage or secondary cure. The film or coated substrate is an article of manufacture for bonding conductors in the electronics industry.
