    摘要: A die package for forming a central disc structure having a plurality of integrally formed appendages extending therefrom includes a cylindrical array of appendage forming, abutting die segments which are prevented from tilting or moving in a circumferential direction by means of pins extending into slots formed along the parting lines between abutting die segments in the upper surfaces of the segments. In one embodiment, the pins extend upwardly from between opposed, parallel, radially and axially extending walls of each slot and fit tightly between said walls. The upper ends of the pins are secured to a rigid annular ring overlying the slots. The slots extend radially inwardly of the pins to allow the die segments to be moved radially outwardly after forging to release the forging from the die package.

    摘要: A method of repairing a part, such as a rotating disk/drum rotor of a gas turbine engine. The method includes: heating a contact area of a wrought material and a contact area of a wrought part; and pressing the contact area of the material against the contact area of the part to bond the parts. A method of making a rotating part of a gas turbine engine, comprising: heating a contact area of a wrought material and a contact area of a wrought part; and pressing the contact area of the material against the contact area of the part to bond the parts. The methods may include a subsequent heat treatment to provide the desired strength properties to the joint between the material and the part.

    摘要: A blade bonding device permits individual blades to be bonded to a blade stub for the purpose of replacing a damaged blade. The device includes a clamp frame and hydraulic ram. A blade holder arranged in contact with the axially moveable ram shaft is guided by a precision slot and pin arrangement from the frame. The clamp engages the inner surfaces of the rim of the rotor disk, and has a cooling passage through this location near the rim. The advantages of the clamp and cooling means are to not mechanically or thermally stress the disk.
