摘要： This invention provides stable waterborne polymer compositions, which are stabilized against gelling, comprising a stable waterborne polymer composition having a Tg of greater than about 0° C. and comprising an acetoacetoxy-type functional polymer, a poly(alkylenimine), and a nonionic surfactant having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of at least about 17.5. The waterborne polymer compositions of the invention are particularly useful in a variety of adhesive formulations such as pressure sensitive adhesives, laminating adhesives, and the like. Methods of making stable waterborne polymer compositions are also disclosed.

摘要： The invention relates to an improved water-based polymer coating composition comprising a polymer resin, water and surfactant. As an improvement over prior water-based polymer coating compositions an anionic and/or nonionic surfactant is present in an amount effective to plasticize the coating formed from the composition. A water-based polymer coating composition of the invention is also substantially free from cosolvents. The invention also relates to a method of coating a substrate and a substrate which has been coated with a coating formulation of the invention.

The composition is made from polymers, polymers plus additives, including plasticizers, which have an average effective or actual refractive index of from 1.4 to 1.6. 摘要： Waterborne latexes are commonly used in a variety of coatings including architectural, industrial, paper, and many others. Many coatings would benefit from an incorporated optical whitening or brightening agent. Most common optical brighteners can not be incorporated directly into a water-based system due to their insufficient solubility in water. This report describes a technique for incorporating optical brighteners directly into a water-based latex system using a mini-emulsion polymerization process. Coatings made from these latexes exhibit significant optical whitening/brightening characteristics which greatly enhance the appearance of the coated substrate.
