摘要: The electrochemical energy conversion system include an anode, a cathode, and a proton exchange membrane disposed between the anode and the cathode. The proton exchange membrane includes a polymer having a hard block polymer, a soft block polymer, and one or more hydrophilic functional groups attached to the soft block polymer. The glass transition temperature of the hard block polymer is higher than a glass transition temperature of the soft block polymer, such that the hard block polymer is non-elastic and the soft block polymer is elastic at a desired operating temperature. The hydrophilic functional groups are attached to the soft block polymer via a thiol-ene reaction to modify double bonds in the soft block polymer. The swellable functional groups are selectively connected to the soft domains of the block copolymers, so that when the membrane swells (under hydration or gas adsorption), the stress is effectively absorbed by the soft domain and the impact on overall mechanical properties is minor, resulting in more durable membranes.

摘要: A rubber composition for golf balls includes (a) a base rubber, relative amounts of (b) a co-crosslinking agent which is an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof and of (c) an organic peroxide that together satisfy a specific condition, and (d) a specific amount of a moisture-providing agent, the latter being a substance which includes on the structure thereof a water constituent other than free water and eliminates moisture under heating or a substance which thermally decomposes under heating, releasing a water constituent. When the hardness difference in the internal hardness profile of a golf ball core made of the composition is large, the ball exhibits a low spin rate on shots, improving the flight performance of the ball, and the durability of the ball to cracking is enhanced.

摘要: The disclosed invention relates to a composition comprising a crosslinked blend of polyphosphazene polymers. The composition comprises a first polyphosphazene and a second polyphosphazene, where the first polyphosphazene and the second polyphosphazene being bound by a thiol bearing crosslinking agent. Such compositions are useful as a membrane material for the separation of gasses in a gaseous mixture.

摘要: The present application relates to a process for producing an aqueous polymer dispersion of polymerized ethylenically unsaturated monomers M by a multistage aqueous radical emulsion polymerization comprising a first aqueous radical emulsion polymerization step of a first monomer composition M.a and subsequently a further aqueous radical emulsion polymerization step of a second monomer composition M.b. The present application also relates to aqueous polymer dispersions obtainable by such a process and to the use thereof, in particular as a binder in coating compositions. The process comprises a multistage aqueous radical emulsion polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers M, comprising a) at least one non-ionic, monoethylenically unsaturated monomer M1 having a solubility in deionized water of at most 60 g/L at 25° C. and 1 bar, b) at least one monoethylenically unsaturated monomer M2 selected from monomers having an acid group and their salts, and c) optionally one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers M3, which are different from the monomers M1 and M2, where the process comprises i) a first step of an aqueous radical emulsion polymerization of a first monomer composition M.a consisting of monomers M1, M2 and optionally M3, to obtain a first aqueous polymer dispersion, where the monomer composition M.a comprises at most 2% by weight, in particular at most 1.5% by weight and especially at most 1.5% by weight or at most 1.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the monomers of the monomer composition M.a, of monomers M2, and subsequently ii) at least one further aqueous radical emulsion polymerization step of a second monomer composition M.b consisting of monomers M1, M2 and optionally M3, where the second step is performed in the aqueous polymer dispersion of the first step and in the presence of a chain transfer agent T, where the monomer composition M.b comprises 2 to 20% by weight, in particular from 5 to 18% by weight and especially from 8 to 16% by weight, based on the total weight of the monomers of the monomer composition M.b, of at least one monomer M2, where the weight ratio of the total weight of monomers of monomer composition M.a to the total weight of monomers of monomer composition M.b is in the range from 10:90 to 90:10, in particular in the range from 50:50 to 87:13, especially in the range from 60:40 to 85:15.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a composition comprising a thiol-terminated compound; an oxidant; and a thermally conductive filler package comprising thermally conductive, electrically insulative filler particles. The thermally conductive, electrically insulative filler particles have a thermal conductivity of at least 5 W/m·K (measured according to ASTM D7984) and a volume resistivity of at least 1 Ω·m (measured according to ASTM D257, C611, or B193) and may be present in an amount of at least 50% by volume based on total volume of the filler package. The thermally conductive filler package may be present in an amount of 15% by volume to 90% by volume based on total volume of the composition. The present invention also is directed to a method for treating a substrate and to substrates comprising a layer formed from a composition disclosed herein.
