摘要: An apparatus may include: processing circuitry; a humidifier configured to humidify breathable gas; an air delivery N tube configured to pass the humidified breathable gas to a patient interface, the air delivery tube including a heating element, a sensor configured to measure a property of the breathable gas, and a connector having a plurality of electrical tube contacts at least a portion of which are coupled to the heating element and the sensor; and a contact assembly including a plurality of electrical apparatus contacts configured to electrically couple the plurality of electrical tube contacts to the processing circuitry. The processing circuitry may be configured to determine a type of air delivery tube coupled to the humidifier based on (1) which electrical apparatus contacts are coupled to the heating element and/or the sensor, and/or (2) electrical characteristic measured via one or more electrical apparatus contacts.

摘要: A method for controlling a humidifier of a CPAP device including a controller, the method including controlling a heating element in the humidifier with command signals from the controller, sensing a temperature of a fluid in the humidifier with a sensor in the humidifier that transmits signals to the controller, establishing an acceptable operating range for the signal transmitted to the controller; determining whether the transmitted signal is within the acceptable operating range, if the signal is within the acceptable operating range treating the signal as being indicative of the temperature of the fluid in the humidifier and using the signal to control the heating element, and if the signal is outside of the acceptable operating range, the controller determines the humidifier to be unavailable.

摘要: A respiratory treatment device includes a blower for providing flow of breathable gas to a patient and one or more accessory devices. The respiratory treatment device includes active power management to distribute power from a power source that does not have sufficient power to simultaneously power the blower and the accessory devices. The active power management prioritizes power to the blower and limits, based on current measurements of the blower and the accessory devices, the power supplied to the accessory devices to keep the sum of the power drawn at or below the capacity of the power supply. When additional power is available, due reduced power consumption of the blower, the power to one or more accessory devices is raised beyond a target in order to compensate for when power was not supplied to the one or more accessory devices.
