Abstract:
A device for cleaning a molding tool in a plastics processing machine, for example the molding tool of hydraulic presses for pressing molded components from fiber reinforced plastics. The device including a cleaning tool which can be brought to at least one of the surfaces to be cleaned in at least one of a male mold and female mold of the molding tool. In order to be able to perform automatic cleaning of the molding tool in a minimum amount of time and simultaneously avoid the danger of damage to the tool and the machine, the cleaning tool is provided with a holder which is disposed at a carrier of the molding tool, with the movement of the holder being synchronized with the operating stroke of the machine.
Abstract:
A method for producing a compound from a plastics material with fixed fiber inlay uses a heated screw-type extruder (1) in which filaments (2) are drawn by means of automatic drawing-in, are cut up and mixed there and are subsequently removed as a finished fiber compound. To achieve a high content of long fibers in the finished fiber compound, before entering the extruder (1) the filaments (2) are impregnated with the plastics material in an impregnation tool (3).
Abstract:
A hydraulic press has a generally horizontal press plate vertically movably supported in a press stand; a hydraulic press cylinder unit mounted in the press stand above the press plate and having a power cylinder and a piston rod longitudinally slidably received in the power cylinder and extending from the power cylinder to the press plate; and a hydrostatic floating bearing assembly arranged on a surface of the press plate. The lower terminus of the piston rod projects into a hydraulic chamber of the bearing assembly. The latter includes an annular body surrounding the piston rod terminus and being coaxial therewith; and a sealing ring positioned between the annular body and the surface of the press plate. The sealing ring sealingly engages the annular body and the press plate surface and has a working inner diameter which is smaller than the diameter of the lower terminus of the piston rod.
Abstract:
A hydraulic press can include a press frame with a press table arranged thereto and a traveling press platen arranged therein, in which at least one rapid motion cylinder with a platen connection can be arranged for the rapid no-load stroke of the press platen, in which at least one working cylinder with a piston directed toward the press table can be rigidly arranged on the upper crosshead of the press frame, in which a coupling device and opposed thereto a crosshead with at least one positioning and synchronizing cylinder for the piston can be arranged on the piston toward the press table, in which the piston can include a centrically arranged cylindrical extension for the sliding guide of a connecting device, such as a toothed rack, in which this connecting device can be connected to the press platen.
Abstract:
A method for picking up a plastic product lying on a conveyor belt, especially a tacky plastic product, for transport and for deposit in a mold in a molding press. The plastic product is picked up by one or more resilient carrier plates setting themselves resiliently on the longitudinal margins of the conveyor belt, and slipping between the product and the belt surface. An the apparatus for the practice of the method includes transversely movable carrier plates with which the plastic product is lifted by sliding under its lateral margins and is thereby picked up.
Abstract:
A method of apportioning the quantity of material in the manufacture of molded products made from hardenable molding compounds in which a resin mat panel is cut into individual cut pieces which are stacked into mat packets and fed to the tool of a parallelism controlled press equipped with a path measuring system for measuring the distance between the clamping plates. The mat packets are compacted to become the molded products. A constant molded product volume is realized by measuring the thickness of the molded product at a defined point in time by means of the path measuring system and the measured values are used as regulating values for regulating the size of the cut area of each cut piece.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing mat packets from panels of an adhesive material which adhesive material is covered with release layers. The panel of adhesive material is advanced sequentially through a feed device, a clamping device, a release layer removing device and a cutting device. The leading edge of the panel, with the release layers removed, extends freely beyond the clamping device toward the cutting device. The panel is advanced in increments corresponding to the length of the mat strip to be produced, and, when the panels are clamped by the clamping device, the panels with release layers removed are cut into mat strips, which are deposited on a transporting device in stacks of several on top of one another to form a mat packet. In order to improve the economy and operational reliability of the method and of the apparatus, a supporting element is moved underneath the freely extending end section of the panel to support the panel and move in synchronism with the advancing of the panel. When the advancing of the panel is stopped, the supporting element is removed from underneath the panel and the mat strip is cut from the panel such that each mat strip is deposited on the transporting device or stacked on any mat strips previously deposited on the transporting device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a gripping apparatus for carrying along a adhesive panel of material and includes a carriage which is movably guided in the longitudinal direction of the panel and a holding tong disposed on the carriage with its long arms being configured to be adhesion reducing on their interior sides. To improve the economy and operational reliability of the gripping apparatus, it is proposed to equip the interior sides of the tong arms with a continuous adhesion reducing sheet which is pre-tensioned by means of a tensioning frame and to make the adhesion reducing sheet movable with a carriage. Displacement of the holding tongs, which is caused by the movement of the carriage results in a movement of the adhesion reducing sheet in the direction toward the front sections of the tong arms at the same velocity in opposite directions. Without the panel moving, the release movement of the holding tongs causes an adhesive panel of material disposed between the tong arms to be moved out of the tongs and to be released.
Abstract:
A cutting device for shear-cutting of fiber strands comprises at least two cutting units which are rotatably drivable about an axis of rotation and two counter cutting units which are rigidly mounted relative to a base frame. The cutting edges of the cutting units as well as the counter cutting edges of the counter cutting units are positionable relative to a common cutting plane independently of each other. The forces acting on the counter cutting edges are measured during a cutting process by means of corresponding measuring sensors, allowing the position of the counter cutting edges to be controlled by means of a control unit via electrically driven displacement devices.

A lifting apparatus includes at least one carrying means that is mounted on a compensation bearing unit and that is for receiving and/or delivering a polymer melt, and in particular a tacky polymer melt.
