    摘要: The present invention is directed to a mucoadhesive delivery system for the local or systemic administration of a pharmaceutical agent. The delivery system of the invention effectively and facilely enables transport of the pharmaceutical agent through mucosal membranes and into the vasculattire of the mucosa. The delivery system includes an at least partially water soluble bioadhesive layer and an at least partially water soluble backing layer. Incorporated within either or both of these layers are the pharmaceutical agent and a mucosal penetration enhancing agent. The mucosal penetration enhancing agent displays localized tissue irritation properties. The mucoadhesive delivery system may be in the form of a gel, film, disc or patch. It may be applied to any mucosal membrane of a patient including but not limited to those of the buccal and nasal cavities, throat, eye, vagina, alimentary tract and peritoneum.

    摘要: A shoe sole sanitizing assembly includes a housing that has a bottom wall, a top wall and a perimeter wall. The top wall has an opening extending therethrough. A cylinder is rotatably mounted to the housing and extends through the opening. An outer surface of the cylinder is comprised of an adsorptive material. A sanitizing fluid is positioned within the housing and the adsorptive material is in contact with the fluid. The sanitizing fluid coats the cylinder and applies the sanitizing fluid to a bottom of a shoe sole when the shoe sole is moved across the cylinder while the cylinder rotates relative to the housing.

    摘要: A thermal zone demand controlled air conditioning fan coil unit using dual cascade arranged heat pumps, chilled water, or a combination of chilled water and hot water, with or without back up electric resistance heat strips, and having an air circulation system for circulating air to and from a plurality of thermal zones and including a conditioned air chamber having first and second heat exchange refrigerant coils or direct or reversed cycle water coils being connected in refrigerant circulating relation respectively with the heat pumps, chilled water coil. A plurality of thermal zone blowers conduct conditioned air from the conditioned air chamber to respective thermal zones of a building space. Electronic controller circuitry of the system is coupled for thermal demand control of the heat pumps and the thermal zone blowers for operation of the first heat pump during average thermal load and for operation of both heat pumps during greater thermal load. For chilled or hot water systems, the controller controls operation of thermal zone blowers and motorized valves which control the flow of water to and from the water coils. The electronic controller circuitry further provides thermostat control circuitry having set point change capability at any of the thermal zone thermostats and periodically reverses heat pump operation to compensate for uneven wear.

    摘要: A hinge is disclosed which has a barrel 12 which is screw threaded at least at its ends. A grub screw 16 is inserted into one end of the barrel and can be screwed into and out of the barrel to adjust the relative height of a pin 22 inserted into the barrel to enable the height of a gate to be adjusted. The hinge can be used as a left or right hand hinge by simply inverting the hinge and screwing the grub screw 16 into the appropriate end of the hinge. An intermediate element 70 may be included to adjust for misalignment of the gates. The intermediate element has an eccentric bore 73 and the element can be rotated within the barrel 12 and locked to the pin 22 to adjust the pivot point of the pin 22 in the barrel 12 and thereby adjust for any misalignment of the hinge.
