摘要： A shutter assembly mounts to a building and includes a right stile and a left stile disposed in spaced opposing relationship with one another. A first bar is mounted to the right stile and presents at least one recess facing outwardly away from the right stile for receiving a decorative member. A second bar opposing the first bar is mounted to the left stile and presents at least one recess facing and opposing the recess of the first bar for receiving the decorative member. The first and second bars each have at least one biasing device extending into the respective recesses of the first and second bars and engage the decorative member for biasing the decorative member outwardly away from the respective stiles to prevent movement of the decorative member relative to the stiles.

摘要： A shutter assembly mounts adjacent an opening of a building. The shutter assembly includes a right stile and a left stile disposed in a spaced and parallel opposing relationship with one another and each having a U-shaped cross section presenting a base and side walls. The side walls extend from the base to spaced distal edges to define a channel open at each end of the respective stiles. A top rail and a bottom rail extend in a spaced and parallel opposing relationship between the bases of the stiles. The top rail is disposed in one of the open ends of each of the stiles and the bottom rail is disposed in the other open ends of each of the stiles. Each of the rails define a glue manifold for distributing an adhesive onto the rails and into the channels for securing the rails to the stiles.

摘要： A shutter assembly (24) mounts to a structure (20) and provides storm and security protection to an opening (22). The assembly comprises an upper track (28) and a lower track (30) each extending between first and second proximal and distal ends (34, 38), respectively. A pair of decorative shutters (26) are spaced from one another and disposed adjacent to the tracks (28, 30). A plurality of panel assemblies (46) are in sliding engagement with the upper and lower tracks (28, 30) for covering the opening (22) and each comprises upper and lower rails (52, 54) and a pair of stiles (56) extending therebetween and a panel (58). The panel (58) defines a retention portion (66) disposed along side edges (64) extending outwardly from a plane (68) of the panel (58). Each of the stiles (56) define a stile channel (72) having a configuration corresponding to the retention portion (66) to create an interference fit between the stile channel (72) and the panel (58) for allowing movement when the panel (58) flexes.

摘要： A lockable shutter assembly has first and second shutters mounted operatively to a building and movable between open and closed positions. A locking device of the assembly has a bracket that extends longitudinally along a gap formed between the shutters when in the closed position. The bracket is supported slidably by the first shutter via a sliding coupling and regardless of shutter position. A releasable interlock of the locking device is carried between the bracket and the second shutter and generally operates between released and locked states. The assembly is placed into the locked state by movement of the bracket when the shutters are in the closed position.

摘要： A shutter assembly for protecting an opening in a structure. The shutter assembly includes a first shutter and a second shutter. Each of the shutters have an attachment end and a free end and defining a width between the corresponding attachment end and the corresponding free end and each present an outer surface. An impact-resistant sheet is disposed on each outer surface. A plurality of hinges are adapted to pivotally couple each shutter to the structure at the attachment end for allowing the shutter to pivot between an open position and a closed position. A crossbar is sized to span the first shutter and the second shutter and terminate at or before the attachment ends of the shutters. A plurality of studs are disposed in linear alignment across the shutters. The crossbar is adapted to engage the studs for securing the shutters in the closed position.
