摘要: A method and apparatus for assembling a complex product in a parallel process system wherein a collection of components are provided for assembling the complex product. The present invention involves transferring the collection of the components to one of a plurality of similar computerized assembly cells through the use of a transport system. The collection of components is automatically assembled into the complex product through the use of the computerized assembly cells. The complex product is then transferred from one of the assembly cells to a computerized test cell, where the complex product is tested to ensure for the proper dimensioning and functioning of the complex product. The complex product is then transferred from the test cell via the transport system to either a part reject area or conveyor, if the complex product is defective, or to an automatic dunnage load or part return system, if the complex product is not defective.

摘要: A thermal metal spraying apparatus for use with a thermal metal spraying torch for applying a metal coating to a workpiece through a torch spraying nozzle having a spraying orifice. The thermal metal spraying apparatus provides a substantially tubular shroud having a first end and a second end adaptable to concentrically receive the torch spraying nozzle. The shroud has an opening at the second end, wherein the opening is selectably alignable with the spraying orifice. A drive mechanism is connected to the shroud and is operable to translate the shroud between a first position, wherein the opening at the second end is not aligned with the spraying orifice, thereby preventing the spraying of the metal coating on the workpiece, and a second position, wherein the opening at the second end is aligned with the spraying orifice permitting the spraying of the metal coating toward the workpiece.

摘要: A composition, a system and a method for making the composition and a system and a method for using the composition are provided. The composition, the system and the method for making the composition and the system and the method for using the composition are used to passively treat a solution. The composition is a mixture of a catalyst-altered water, a colloidal solution and a treated water. The composition is produced by mixing the catalyst-altered water, the colloidal solution and the treated water at room temperature. The composition, the system and the method for making the composition and the system and the method for using the composition have a sphere and/or a tube for housing the composition in an internal compartment of the sphere and/or the tube. Exposure of the solution to the composition and/or to an exterior surface of the sphere and/or the tube containing the composition raises a pH and/or an alkalinity of the solution and/or changes a structure of the solution.

摘要: Positive-charge injection-related ghosting of images in electrophotographic processes is addressed by electrophotographic photoreceptors that include a positive-charge injection preventing layer that includes one or more positive-charge-injection preventing compounds. In addition, processes are provided for preventing positive charge injection, in which the processes include a step of applying a positive-charge injection preventing composition to an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which the positive-charge injection preventing composition includes one or more positive-charge-injection preventing compound.

摘要: A process of treating metal oxide nanoparticles that includes mixing metal oxide nanoparticles, a solvent, and a surface treatment agent that is preferably a silane or siloxane is described. The treated metal oxide nanoparticles are rendered hydrophobic by the surface treatment agent being surface attached thereto, and are preferably dispersed in a hydrophobic aromatic polymer binder of a charge transport layer of a photoreceptor, whereby π-π interactions can be formed between the organic moieties on the surface of the nanoparticles and the aromatic components of the binder polymer to achieve a stable dispersion of the nanoparticles in the polymer that is substantially free of large sized agglomerations.

摘要: A lawn mower blade assembly is described that comprising a generally flat, elongated blade having a central mounting opening for mounting of the blade to a rotating motor shaft of a lawn mower. The blade further includes a plurality of bit openings positioned along the blade, and a plurality of elongated, generally cylindrical bits for insertion into the bit openings. Each bit has a head and a plurality of rib protrusions located slightly away from the head at one end of the bit. Each bit is inserted into one of the bit openings from the bottom side of the blade, past the rib protrusions, and snapped into place against the head. As such, each bit is held in place in the bit opening by the rib protrusions and the head. The bit, once installed, each extend generally perpendicularly from the top surface of the blade. The bits are each long enough such that when the bald assembly is installed in a lawm mower, the distal end of the bits make contact with and bend over slightly against an underside of a blade compartment of the lawn mower. When the blade is rotating, grass or other lawn debris, particularly wet such debris, is prevented from sticking to and building up upon the underside. The blade may further include a lifted flange at trailing edges of the blade that provide a high velocity air stream within a blade compartment of the lawn mower to further prevent the build-up of wet grass or the like within the compartment.
