    摘要: A method for changing reproduction speed of speech sound, includes the steps of: storing an input sound signal in a buffer; leaving a sound signal from the buffer as it is or extending the sound signal from the buffer in a sound section where a power of the input sound signal exceeds a threshold value; leaving the sound signal from the buffer as it is, compressing the sound signal from the buffer, or extending the sound signal from the buffer, in a no-sound section, so that the reproduction speed of speech sound is changed; wherein a speech head protection section is set prior to the sound section being set to be a storing amount of the buffer limited by a designated limited value; and compression or deletion of the sound signal is adjusted by a compression ratio or prevented if there is the sound section in the speech head protection section, so that speech head protection is performed.

    摘要: The present invention provides an acoustic echo canceler for use in a telephone set having a handsfree conversation function. This acoustic echo canceler simultaneously achieves both the stabilization and speedup of an estimation operation and also attains the more improvement of speech quality. Moreover, the present invention provides a handsfree telephone set employing this acoustic echo canceler. Furthermore, this acoustic echo canceler is operative to cancel an echo generated by inputting an output of an acoustic device to itself substantially simultaneously with the outputting the output thereof. Further, this acoustic echo canceler comprises an adaptive filter for performing an operation of estimating the frequency characteristic and the phase characteristic of a part, whose frequency characteristic and phase characteristic vary, on an acoustic path and a fixed coefficient filter for simulating a part, whose frequency characteristic and phase characteristic are fixed, on the acoustic path.

    摘要: A protective cover includes an input operating unit and a cover unit. Through the input operating unit, an input operation to an electronic apparatus is performed. In the cover unit, the input operating unit is disposed. In the protective cover, the cover unit includes a folding section and two plate sections connected to the folding section. A connection terminal section is provided to which the electronic apparatus is connected. A wiring section which interconnects the input operating unit and the connection terminal section and which is bent attendantly on folding at the folding section is disposed inside the cover unit. Folding at the folding section into a predetermined shape enables setting of a cover mode in which the electronic apparatus is covered.

    摘要: For a plurality of digital video signals whose frame frequencies are different, a pixel number converting circuit to convert the number of pixels is provided so that differences of the frame frequencies are replaced to differences of the numbers of pixels and a plurality of digital video signals whose frame frequencies are different can be processed by a common clock frequency. The frame frequency is detected by a frame frequency value decoder and the number of pixels in the horizontal direction of the pixel number converting circuit is properly set in accordance with the frame frequency. As mentioned above, if the differences of the frame frequencies are replaced to the differences of the numbers of pixels and the images are converted into the image in which the frame frequencies are the same and the numbers of pixels are different, the frame frequencies are equalized and the signals can be processed by the same clock.

    摘要: When a digital broadcast receiver selects a channel and thereby changes an MPEG picture stream, a video decoder starts a decoding operation in response to an instruction to start decoding. When a predictive coded picture includes an intra slice and an intra macroblock, the video decoder decodes the intra slice and the intra macroblock of the predictive coded picture without waiting for an intra picture to be decoded. When a macroblock to be referred to has previously been decoded, the video decoder further decodes a non-intra slice and a non-intra macroblock of the predictive coded picture by using a decoding result of the macroblock to be referred to. Thus, when changing the channel, for example, it is possible to quickly obtain output picture data, shorten interruption of the pictures, and check a picture of the next channel in a short time.
