There is a restrictive passage for introducing fluid from the reservoir region to the nozzle region and restricting backflow from the nozzle region to the reservoir region. A driver, typically a piezoelectric bender, is provided to drive fluid from the reservoir region to the nozzle region and from the nozzle region through the nozzle to create an aerosol spray.

One embodiment of the present invention alternatively utilizes a selected dose of thrombolytic agent in combination with an echo contrast agent, for enhancing the thrombolytic action of a thrombolytic agent and removing a thrombosis from a fistula.
