摘要: The presently disclosed embodiments relate in general to electrophotographic imaging members, such as layered photoreceptor structures, and processes for making and using the same. More particularly, the embodiments pertain to an improved photoreceptor that exhibits little to no response to injected charges and demonstrates excellent ghosting properties.

摘要: A vertical, centrifugal pump, which is suspended from a pedestal which has the pump-driver/motor set thereupon, is tied to limbs of the pedestal, by an adjustable, threaded rod and bracket. The tying arrangement creates a tension between the pump and the pedestal, resulting in a uniform, common system which has only one natural frequency.

摘要: A cleaning blade is provided incorporating fiber fillers oriented in a single direction in an elastomeric matrix. In use, the cleaning blade is mounted for cleaning operation in a manner orienting the fiber fillers generally parallel to process direction. The material thereby provided is resistant to damage, and is relatively stiff in the process direction, while relatively conformable in the lateral direction.

摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed for performing chemical analysis on selected fluids. The apparatus comprises a turntable which carries a plurality of cartridges containing test slides. A transfer mechanism is adapted to receive a slide from a selected cartridge, transport the slide to a metering device where a precise amount of fluid is deposited thereon, and then deliver the slide to a conveyor which moves the slide through an incubator. A radiometric reading of the slide is taken while it is in the incubator.

摘要: This method to make an original photoconductor or replacement element uses a two-slot coating process to substantially simultaneously deposit a new SMTL coating layer and a thinner overcoating on an already existing SMTL layer or on a substrate. The total thickness of the existing SMTL layer plus the new SMTL layer plus the overcoating thickness should not exceed the thickness of a belt area of a marking machine or corresponding components in the to be replaced photoconductor element or the tolerances set for said SMTL and overcoating layer when making a new belt.

摘要: Utilization of non-printing high-spatial-frequency auxiliary pixels are introduced into the bitmap of halftones utilized in an image to obtain local control of the image development by modification of local average voltage in the development nip. These auxiliary pixels embody frequencies or levels of charge that are past the threshold for printing on the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) curve, and therefore by themselves result in no toner deposition on the resultant page. These auxiliary pixels will however, position the toner cloud by modulating it and compensate for cleaning field and toner supply effects. This will better position the toner cloud to ensure adequate toner supply to all parts of the image so that the desired printing pixels will print as intended and provide a more faithful rendering of grayscale information in the image.

摘要: In a development system including a developer transport adapted for depositing developer material on an imaging surface having an electrostatic latent image thereon, including: a housing defining a chamber storing a supply of developer material comprising soft magnetic toner; a donor member, mounted partially in the chamber and spaced from the imaging surface, for transporting developer on an outer surface thereof to a region opposed from the imaging surface, the donor member having a magnetic assembly having a plurality of poles, a sleeve, enclosing the magnetic assembly, rotating about said magnetic assembly; and a vibrating member positioned in between the magnetic assembly and the sleeve at a predefined position around the donor roll, the vibrating member fluidizing the developer material on the donor member to prevent developer bed freezing, to prevent long-range carrier bead chain formation, and to smooth developer bed height-banding on the donor member before a development zone.
