摘要: Connective tissue regenerative compositions and methods of repairing and regenerating connective tissue using such compositions are provided. The compositions generally comprise a bioactive hydrogel matrix comprising a polypeptide, such as gelatin, and a long chain carbohydrate, such as dextran. The hydrogel matrix may further include polar amino acids, as well as additional beneficial additives. Advantageously, the compositions include further components, such as osteoinductive or osteoconductive materials, medicaments, stem or progenitor cells, and three-dimensional structural frameworks. The compositions are useful for regenerating connective tissue, and can be administered to an area having injury to, or a loss of, connective tissue, such as bone, cartilage, tendon, and ligament.

摘要: Provided are a system and program for allowing communication among nodes in a system. A request is received in a source node from a source object executing in the source node to send a message to a destination object executing in a destination node. Each node includes a processor capable of multitasking multiple program objects and a communication interface to transmit and receive data with the other nodes. A determination is made in the source node as to whether the destination node and source node are a same node. The message is sent in the source node to the destination object within the source node if the destination node is the source node. If the destination node is not the source node, then the source node transmits the message to the destination node through the communication interface. The destination node sends the message to the destination object within the destination node.

摘要: Sensing moving entities includes transmitting a stepped-frequency radar signal including multiple frequencies through a wall from a first side of the wall to a second side of the wall. Portions of the radar signal that are reflected by entities located beyond the second side of the wall are detected. The reflected portions are processed to generate processed data including information associated with frequency shifts between the transmitted signal and the detected signal. The processed data is analyzed to determine if reflected portions are associated with moving entities.

摘要: Addressing failure is handled in a nodal system of processor nodes, which comprise at least one processor and at least one interface to a network. Upon detection of a node address failure of a processor node for the network, such as lack of a node address, or presence of a duplicate address, the processor node is disabled from the network, thereby temporarily failing the processor node so that the system remains operational. An alternate node address stored in nonvolatile memory may be selected that avoids the node address failure.

摘要: Disclosed are a system, a method, and a computer program product to provide improved error handling in an embedded system. When the embedded system encounters a fatal error, information pertaining to the error is saved and an indication that the error has occurred is also saved. The embedded system resets itself to allow normal operation to resume. Before or after the reset, the embedded system sets an indication of the prior error so that a human or a machine will be alerted to the fact that the embedded system had encountered the error. At some point in time, the error information may be retrieved, collected or sent for post error analysis. The error flag and/or error status is then cleared to remove the current error condition and/or allow a subsequent error to be managed.

摘要: A fire retardant lap protection cloth (10) to be placed across the lap of the driver or passenger of a vehicle to protect clothing and vehicle seats from tobacco burns or soiling includes a fire retardant material dimensioned to substantially cover the lap to interrupt debris dropping thereon. A binding material (20) placed on top of the cloth and stitched around the edges, giving it a bordered of framed look. A backing material (35) made of 100% cotton muslin, sewn so as to attach all components of the fire protection cloth together, to form a single piece of material. A layer of foam material (30) ¼ inch thick, placed between the cloth material (10) and the backing material (35). A torso flap (50) designed to rest against the lower torso or stomach of the user. Two end flaps (55) to ensure proper placement and fit of the protection cloth.

摘要: The present invention provides an ecdysteroid derivative in which a fluorescent moiety is attached to an ecdysteroid moiety by derivatisation of a hydroxyl group on the alkyl side chain of the ecdysteroid moiety. The derivative is capable of binding to an ecdysone receptor or ligand domain thereof and can be used in assays.
