    摘要: A piezoelectric actuator having a plurality of plates of a piezoelectric material whose polarization direction runs perpendicularly to the plate plane, and which are stacked one over another in their polarization direction. The piezoelectric actuator includes a control voltage source having two contacts, two groups of at least two outer electrodes, respectively, and a plurality of internal electrodes which, in each case, are arranged between the piezoelectric plates. In this context, the outer electrodes of the first group are electrically connected to a first contact of control voltage source, and the outer electrodes of the second group to the second contact of control voltage source. Internal electrodes alternately contact outer electrodes in such a way that, in each case, an internal electrode is electrically connected to one contact of control voltage source, and the internal electrode that is next in the stacking direction is electrically connected to the other contact of control voltage source. The internal electrodes contact the outer electrodes in a cyclic sequence.

    摘要: A piezoelectric actuator for actuating control valves or injection valves in internal combustion engines in motor vehicles. The piezoelectric actuator body is in the form of a multilayer laminate of layered plies of piezoelectric material and intervening metal, for instance electrically conductive layers acting as electrodes. The electrode layers are contacted by electrically conductive common electrode leads, and the actuator body is surrounded by a metal module wall which encircles an interstice that contains the common electrode leads. The common electrode leads are designed in the form of a three-dimensionally structured surface or a three-dimensionally structured body, and a portion thereof contacting the actuator body has a lengthened portion or enlargement, that protrudes into the interstice, for dissipating heat from the actuator body, and an elastomer filling with heat-conducting additive particles in the interstice.

The fuel injection valves are controlled with the aid of a valve that is driven by a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive drive mechanism. With the aid of this drive mechanism, a 3-way valve having a closing body can be adjusted in an intermediary position in which a control chamber, by way of which a hydraulic force can be exerted in the closing direction on a valve closing member of the injection valve, can simultaneously be connected to a high-pressure fuel source and a relief chamber in order to adjust a control pressure that lies between the high pressure of the high-pressure source and a relief pressure. In this manner, a partial opening of the injection valve member of the injection valve can be adjusted in order to introduce a reduced injection quantity into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.

    摘要: A fuel injection system for internal combustion engines is proposed which supplies fuel injection valves with fuel from a high-pressure fuel source, under the control of a control unit. The fuel injection valve has an injection valve member, whose opening or closing position is determined by a pressure that acts upon this injection valve member and that is set in a control chamber. To that end, to perform an injection, the pressure in the control chamber must be relieved; which is achieved with a control valve that opens two different outflow cross sections of an outflow conduit of the control chamber in succession. This makes it possible to accomplish an adapted opening of the fuel injection valve member for a preinjection and for a main injection.
