摘要: A liquid crystal display device comprises a TFT substrate, a CF substrate, a liquid crystal with negative dielectric anisotropy filled between the substrates, a pixel electrode provided on the TFT substrate, and an auxiliary electrode formed around the pixel electrode. A slit for segmenting a pixel region into a plurality of sub-pixel regions is formed in the pixel electrode from the center portion of each pixel toward the periphery portion thereof. The auxiliary electrode has a transparent step film formed at a position corresponding to the slit of the pixel electrode in such a way as to overlie the auxiliary electrode. Molecules of the liquid crystal of each sub-pixel region are aligned toward center of the sub-pixel region from the circumference of the sub-pixel region by a horizontal electric filed applied between the pixel electrode and auxiliary electrode, and the shape of the end portion of the transparent step film.

摘要: The present invention observes the status on the server side from the storage device side, and controls the processing priority in accordance with the server status. The storage device 2 is utilized by numerous servers 1A through 1C. The server 1A and server 1B form a failover cluster. The status detection part 5 judges whether or not an event observed from the server 1A or 1B corresponds to a specified event (link down or the like). In cases where such a specified event is observed, the status detection part 5 detects the occurrence of failover. In accordance with the detection of the occurrence of failover, the priority control part 6 sets the processing priority of the failover destination server at a priority that is higher than the ordinary processing priority. When the preset failover time has elapsed, the priority during failover is returned to the ordinary priority.

摘要: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display device and a touch panel. The display device includes first and second substrates positioned on observation and opposite sides, respectively, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the substrates, a first electrode provided on one of opposed inner surface sides of the substrates, a second electrode provided on an inner surface side of one of the substrates and supplies a voltage between itself and the first electrode to apply an electric field to the liquid crystal layer, and two polarizing plates respectively arranged on the observation and opposite sides on the other side of the substrates. The touch panel includes an electroconductive film arranged on an outer surface of the substrate or the polarizing plate on the observation side, and detects a specified position on the electroconductive film based on a voltage previously applied thereto and a voltage measured at the specified position.
