摘要: A rocking type exercising apparatus includes a movable unit on which a user rides, a driving unit for causing the movable unit to perform a rocking motion, and a rocking motion changing unit for changing the rocking motion of the movable unit driven to rock by the driving unit. The rocking type exercising apparatus also includes a display unit, responsive to the change in the rocking motion caused by the rocking motion changing unit, for displaying loads to be applied to a plurality of body regions of the user.

摘要: A wedge-shaped tilt provider is attached in contact with the bottom surface of a seat and the upper surface of a seat connection member of a rocking mechanism to set the seat to an initial inclined position relative to a reference position. By setting the seat to a forwardly inclined position from a horizontal position where the seated surface of the seat is set horizontal, the user straddling the seat can increase the amount of muscle activity of his or her rectus muscle of abdomen, or abdominal muscle. Further, by setting the seat to a rearwardly inclined position, the user straddling the seat can increase the amount of muscle activity of his or her back muscle such as paraspinal muscle. With use of a rocking type exercising apparatus having the above construction, a stress of exercise simulating horseback riding is given to the user by changing the position of the seat relative to the reference position by a certain degree of inclination, while rocking the seat which the user straddles, whereby the user is selectively provided with an exercising effect onto a specific site of his or her body.

摘要: An ultrasonic hair curling device capable of applying ultrasonic vibration efficiently to hairs for effective hair styling in a short time. The device includes a housing, an ultrasonic generator incorporated in the housing for generating ultrasonic vibrations, and a horn connected to receive and transmit the ultrasonic vibrations. The horn is formed at its end with a hollow barrel which projects from the housing for receiving therearound a strand of hair to be curled. The hollow barrel is provided at a portion intermediates at its longitudinal ends with a hair winding zone of which cross-section is smaller than the other portion of the hollow barrel. The hair winding zone of the reduced cross section can vibrate at an amplitude larger than at the front end of the barrel for applying the ultrasonic vibrations efficiently to the hair and making the hair curling effectively.

摘要: A bioinstrumentation device utilizes an optical fiber for measuring biological parameters such as heart rate and breathing rate of a human subject. The device utilizes an optical fiber as a sensing element for sensing minute load variations resulting from the heart beating and breathing of the human subject and therefore indicative of the heart rate and the breathing rate. The device includes a base and a movable member movable relative to the base. The movable member is connected to a support structure for the human body and receives the minute load variations from the living body so as to vibrate in response thereto. Disposed between the base and the movable member is the optical fiber which is capable of resiliently deforming with changing characteristic of its internal reflectivity. A light source is disposed adjacent to the input end of the optical fiber to feed a light through the optical fiber. The light emitted from the optical fiber is received by a light sensor disposed adjacent to the output end of the optical fiber. An analyzing circuit is provided to analyze a variation in the amount of the light received at the light sensor due to the changing internal reflectivity of the optical fiber being deformed so as to determine the biological parameter. A retainer structure is included to keep the optical fiber bent with an initial curvature such that the optical fiber is caused to deform with a varying curvature from the initial curvature in response to minute load variations indicative of the biological parameters to be measured.

摘要: A passive exercise assisting device comprises a left foot support, a right foot support, and a driving unit. The left foot support and the right foot support are configured to bear a left foot and a right foot of a user respectively. The driving unit is configured to move the left foot support and the right foot support so as to give motions to the left foot support and the right foot support in relation with each other. The driving unit comprises at least one of a horizontal motion applying mechanism and a rotation motion applying mechanism. The horizontal motion applying mechanism is configured move the left foot support and the right foot support laterally to the left foot support and the right foot support. The rotation motion applying mechanism is configured rotate the left foot support and the right foot support about horizontal axes to the left foot support and the right foot support. The passive exercise assisting device further comprises a vertical motion applying mechanism being configured to move the left foot support and the right foot support vertically to the left foot support and the right foot support.

摘要: A passive exercise apparatus in this invention comprises a base, a seat, a driving unit, and a pair of footrests. The seat is disposed on the base. The driving unit is configured to reciprocate the seat past its neutral position relative to the base. A pair of the footrests is arranged on the base at a front of the seat and is spaced from the seat by a predetermined distance. The feature of the invention resides in that the each of the footrests has a top face for contact with a user's foot. Each of the footrest is configured to move the top face between a raised position and a lowered position. The top face is elastically urged toward the raised position.

The exercise equipment further comprises an operation part C1, a display D, and a controller C. The operation part C1 is configured to calculate a running distance based on the user's exercise volume, and, from the running distance and a running course, to determine a current location in the running course. The display D shows the current location in the running course to the user. The controller C is configured to change a posture of the support unit according to an inclination data at the current location. Thus, by changing the posture of the support unit, a posture of the user supported by the support unit is changed according to the inclination data.
