    Abstract: A motor for a washing machine includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor includes a rotor casing including a base portion formed in a disk shape and a vertical wall extending substantially perpendicularly from an outer periphery of the base portion, a permanent magnet provided on an inner surface of the vertical wall of the rotor casing, and a connecting member provided at a center of the base portion of the rotor casing and connected to a shaft. The base portion of the rotor casing includes a first ring portion facing a coil portion of the stator and a second ring portion, provided with a plurality of air inlet holes, that is positioned between the first ring portion and the connecting member and does not face the coil portion of the stator.

    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments disclose a rotor of an electric motor and an electric motor using the same. The rotor includes a core which includes a plurality of protrusion portions which are arranged along an outer circumference of the core and protrude radially to an outer portion of the core, and a plurality of concave portions interposed between the protrusion portions; a plurality of permanent magnets which are respectively disposed at the plurality of concave portions; and a plurality of pole pieces which are disposed at the plurality of concave portions and at outer sides of the plurality of permanent magnets. A length of each of the plurality of pole pieces in an axial direction is shorter than a length of each of the plurality of protrusion portions in the axial direction.

    Abstract: An in-wheel assembly includes an in-wheel actuator and a wheel.
