    Abstract: When a printing interruption cause occurs during printing of an image on a printing medium, printing of a page being printed is completed, and further only a position mark is printed on a printing resumption page. Then, a printing unit is stopped, and a conveyance speed is decelerated to stop conveyance of the printing medium. Next, the printing medium is rewound so that printing is resumed from the printing resumption page. Thereafter, the conveyance speed is accelerated to a predetermined speed, and printing is resumed from the printing resumption page on which the position mark is printed.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid storing device that includes at least a tank for storing a liquid, a supply tube that supplies the liquid to the tank, and a discharge tube that discharges the liquid stored in the tank. The supply tube diverges at a T branch joint into an upper supply tube and a lower supply tube. The upper supply tube has an upper supply port in the tank, the upper supply port positioned above a level of the liquid stored in the tank.     Abstract: A printing apparatus comprises: a transport mechanism that transports a recording medium; a first line head group including a first line head in number of N that ejects first ink; a second line head group including a second line head in number of M that ejects second ink; and a controller, where M is a natural number larger than N. The line heads form images along lines extending in a width direction along a surface of the recording medium by ejecting ink droplets from a plurality of nozzles aligned in the width direction. In a first printing step, the controller makes each of the first line head in number of N perform printing process on every N-th line, while making each of the second line heads in number of M perform the printing process on every M-th line.

    Abstract: A printing apparatus configured to print on a continuous sheet to be cut into a plurality of cut sheets at a plurality of cutting positions while being conveyed, includes a conveyance mechanism configured to convey the continuous sheet, and a print head provided so as to face a conveyance path for the continuous sheet in the conveyance mechanism and configured to sequentially print a plurality of cutting marks indicating the plurality of cutting positions on the continuous sheet being conveyed by the conveyance mechanism, in which, from between front end portions and rear end portions of each of the pages in a conveyance direction of the continuous sheet in the conveyance mechanism when printing by the print head is performed, the print head prints the cutting marks on the rear end portions for a plurality of pages on the continuous sheet corresponding to the plurality of cut sheets.

    Abstract: A printing system, including a printing apparatus that sends a print paper after printing to a post-processing machine and a web buffer that temporarily holds a print paper after printing, is provided with: a required print time calculation unit that calculates a required print time for each job; an increase and decrease amount calculation unit that calculates an increase and decrease amount of a consumption amount of the buffer per set for each job on the basis of a difference between a minimum processing time required for a process in a post-processing machine and the required print time; a predicted value calculation unit that obtains a predicted value of the consumption amount of the web buffer by accumulating increase and decrease amounts; and a conveyance control unit that controls a conveyance speed of print paper on the basis of the predicted value.
