摘要: A liquid ejecting device includes a transporting belt configured to transport a medium, a head configured to eject a liquid onto the medium, a first gripping portion configured to grip the first end portion of the transporting belt, and move in the transport direction, and a second gripping portion configured to grip the second end portion of the transporting belt, and move in the transport direction. When the head is positioned outside the transporting belt with respect to the second end portion, the first gripping portion performs a first operation of gripping the transporting belt and moving to a predetermined position, and releasing the gripped transporting belt. When the head is positioned outside the transporting belt with respect to the first end portion, the second gripping portion performs a second operation of gripping the transporting belt and moving to a predetermined position, and releasing the gripped transporting belt.

摘要: A transporting device includes a first driving roller which transports the base material; a second driving roller which is disposed to be closer to a downstream side of the transporting direction than the first driving roller, and transports the base material; a driven roller which nips the base material between the second driving roller and the driven roller, and rotates together with the second driving roller; and an inter-roller transporting path which is provided between the first driving roller and the second driving roller, and through which the base material is transported in a state where the base material is suspended in a direction of gravity and bent. The second driving roller starts winding the base material at a position which is closer to an upstream side of the transporting direction than a position where the driven roller is in contact with the base material.

The feed amount calculator calculates the amount of belt feed by which the endless belt is to be fed, on the basis of the amount of belt feed by which the endless belt has been fed and the actual amount of movement of the endless belt measured by the movement amount measurer. The belt mover moves the endless belt by the amount of belt feed calculated.
