摘要: Provided is a white resin composition that can maintain a high degree of whiteness even after undergoing a thermal resistance test. A white resin composition contains: a white pigment; a surface-treated calcium carbonate in which particle surfaces of a synthetic calcium carbonate with an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 1 μm are subjected to surface treatment with a condensed phosphoric acid and an organic modified silicone oil; and a resin, wherein a content ratio between the white pigment and the surface-treated calcium carbonate is, in mass ratio (white pigment to surface-treated calcium carbonate), within a range of 90:10 to 60:40, and a total content of the white pigment and the surface-treated calcium carbonate in the resin composition is within a range of 5 to 70% mass.

摘要: Provided is a surface-treated calcium carbonate that can make a vinyl chloride-based resin composition less colorable in a weathering test and excellent in impact strength. The surface-treated calcium carbonate is a calcium carbonate subjected to treatment with a surface treatment agent in which a proportion of saturated fatty acid contained in a fatty acid is 85% by mass or more, and has a content of elemental iron of 0.01% by mass or less, a content of elemental zinc of 0.1 to 2% by mass introduced by the treatment with the surface treatment agent, and a BET specific surface area of 5 to 30 m2/g.

摘要: A light reflecting body includes a base containing a resin material and a calcium carbonate and includes a metal layer on the surface of the base. The resin material is selected from a polyester resin composition, a polyarylate resin composition, and a mixed resin composition thereof. The calcium carbonate has a BET specific surface area of 1 to 15 m2/g, a pore distribution curve determined by mercury porosimetry that the top of a peak representing interparticle void size is in a pore size range of 0.1 to 1.0 μm, a particle size distribution determined by using an electron microscope that the proportion of particles having a particle size of 0.1 μm or less is 10% or less of the calcium carbonate, and the residue on a sieve having a mesh size of 45 μm after wet sieving of the calcium carbonate is 0.1% or less.
