    Abstract: A casting plant to produce a cast product with a high quality and a method for managing data for molding the mold and data on the conditions of the molten metal in the casting plant are provided. The controller (11) for the molding unit issues a serial number for the mold to a mold (M). The controller (31) for the unit for conveying the molds shifts the serial number for the mold in accordance with a movement of the mold. It also gathers data on the mold and links the data for molding the mold with the serial number for the mold. When the molten metal is poured from the ladle into the mold, the controller (71) for the unit for pouring the molten metal sends to the computer (91) for controlling the casting plant the serial number for the ladle that is linked with the data on the conditions of the molten metal and that is linked with the serial number for the mold.

    Abstract: A leakage of a molten metal is suppressed at the time of pouring.A control method for an automatic pouring apparatus according to one embodiment includes: calculating a dropping position of a molten metal on a horizontal surface passing through a height position of a sprue, a flow velocity of the molten metal in the dropping position, and a radius of a sectional surface of the molten metal on the horizontal surface, on the basis of a dropping trajectory of the molten metal flowing out from a discharge port, generating an objective function which is relevant to a total weight of the molten metal flowing into a mold from a ladle and depends on a distance between the discharge port and the center of the sprue in a predetermined direction, on the basis of the dropping position, the flow velocity of the molten metal in the dropping position, the radius of the sectional surface of the molten metal on the horizontal surface, a radius of the sprue, a flow rate of the molten metal flowing out from the discharge port, and a density of the molten metal, and calculating the distance between the discharge port and the center of the sprue in the predetermined direction, in which the total weight of the molten metal flowing into the mold from the ladle is maximized, on the basis of the objective function.

    Abstract: To provide a surface property inspection device and method capable of inspecting the surface treatment state of treated material subjected to surface treatments. A surface property inspection device 1 includes an AC power supply 10, an AC bridge circuit 20, and an evaluation apparatus 30, and the AC bridge circuit 20 is formed by a variable resistor 21 with a distribution ratio of γ, a reference detector 22, and an inspection detector 23. The inspection detector 23 includes a coil 23b wound so as to oppose the surface property inspection area of the test object M; an eddy current is excited in the test object M by supplying AC power to the coil 23b. A reference test object S with the same structure as the test object M is placed in the reference detector 22 to cancel inspection environment effects.
