Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) and method for selecting the size and shape of a prosthesis and/or for determining the location of marks to be made on the external face of the skin of a patient intended to receive such a prosthesis, for example for repairing a hernia, comprising a sheet (2) of transparent material, the said sheet comprising: —a plurality of graphical representations (3a, 3b, 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d) concentrically embodying the respective outlines of various shapes and sizes of prosthesis, —a plurality of first holes (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, 6e, 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d, 7e) arranged along the transverse line passing through the center of the said sheet, and—a plurality of second holes (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 8e, 8f, 8g, 9a, 9b, 9c, 9d, 9e, 9f, 9g) arranged along the longitudinal line passing through the center (C) of the said sheet.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an implantable film and a prosthesis comprising such a film The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a non porous film intended to be implanted in the human body, said method comprising the following steps: preparation of a first film, called intermediate film, via gelling of a starting solution comprising at least one polymer selected in the group consisting of collagen, glycosaminoglycans, and mixtures thereof, immersion of said intermediate film in an alkaline composition comprising at least one C1-C4 alcohol, drying of the film obtained at the end of the immersing step. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a prosthesis comprising a textile support and such a film.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for forming a barbed suture (10) comprising: a) producing a knit by knitting together i) a set of chain stitch yarns (1) producing chain stitches and ii) a set of monofilament weft yarns completing weft stitches with at least one of said chain stitches, thereby producing at least one weft stitched chain stitch (6), b) cutting the knit along the warp direction on both sides of said weft stitched chain stitch, so as to isolate said weft stitched chain stitch from the rest of the produced knit, the chain stitch yarn of said at least one weft stitched chain stitch forming the elongate body (9) of the barbed suture and the monofilament cuts (7) extending from said weft stitches of said one weft stitched chain stitch forming the barbs (8) of said barbed suture.

Abstract:
Method for preparing a chitosan-based porous layer The present invention relates to a method or preparing a chitosan-based, neutralized compressed porous layer, comprising the following steps: —a) a chitosan solution is prepared, —b) said solution is poured into a mould in order to form a layer, —c) the layer obtained in b) is lyophilized so as to obtain a porous layer, —d) said porous layer obtained in c) is compressed, —e) the compressed porous layer obtained in d) is neutralized by means of an NH4OH solution. It also relates to an implant comprising a layer obtained according to such a method.
