The present disclosure is intended to display registration information on a real-world registration information setting point and update the display with detection of an event in accordance with a change in the context as a trigger. A control for displaying a virtual object including registration information on a real-world registration information setting point is performed. The data processing unit performs a process for displaying registration information described in control data and a process for updating the display in accordance with a change in predefined context. Further, the data processing unit displays the virtual object indicative of the registration information setting point in conjunction with the display of the registration information. The data processing unit calculates the positional relationship between an information processing apparatus and the registration information setting point on the basis of the position, direction, and the like of a reference image (anchor) detected from the shot image in a virtual three-dimensional space, and displays the virtual object indicative of the registration information setting point on the basis of the calculated positional relationship and a change in the context.

An apparatus and method allowing for high-quality data acquisition and playback processing based on content information transmitted from a server to a client are provided. Property information constituting meta-information corresponding to content-associated attribute information stores data-scheme information on original content held by the server, such as file format information, codec information representing an encoded-data scheme, and resolution information. In response to a content information acquisition request from the client, content information including the data-scheme information on the original content is generated and is transmitted to the client. This structure allows the client to output a content transmission request in which the optimum data scheme is determined based on the data scheme of the original content. Therefore, high-quality data acquisition and playback can be achieved.

Provided are a device and a method which are capable of performing selection acquisition and utilization processes for a service worker (SW) that performs data management optimized for each reception device. It is possible to selectively acquire a service worker (SW) of a specific class from service workers (SWs) corresponding to a plurality of classes which are data management programs used in a reception device and have different data management types. For example, use of a service worker (SW) corresponding to a class selected according to an application use state in a reception device is implemented. A reception device acquires access information of a service worker (SW) of a specific class using signaling data in which a token used for efficiently searching for the access information of the service worker (SW) of the specific class is recorded, and acquires the service worker (SW).
